eimittaa - I understand what you are saying but some of your facts are wrong. I also disagree with banning all immigrants, some of Americas finest have emigrated from other countries like Albert Einstein, Nikola Tesla, Alexander Graham Bell, etc

- The third rail on an electric train tracks was developed by the German firm of Siemens & Halske and shown at the Berlin Industrial Exhibition of 1879. There were several railways already using the system before Granville Woods got the patient in 1901.
- On 10 December 1868, the first traffic lights were installed outside the British Houses of Parliament in London, by the railway engineer J.P. Knight. Lester Wire invented the first red-green electric traffic lights in 1912
- According to Joseph Needham a precursor to the cotton gin was present in India, which was known as a charkhi, which had two elongated worms that turned its rollers in opposite directions. The modern cotton gin was later created by the American inventor Eli Whitney (Was white) in 1793 to mechanize the production of cotton fiber.
- Alexander Graham Bell was scottish and only emagrated to American in 1870. He spent most of his adult life in Canada. Also he is one of several people given the title of inventor of the telephone.

People who want to tolerate or allow illegal immigration basically have one of three different attitudes.

1) Compassion: These people came here, albeit illegally, searching for a better life. Sending them back home returns them to the life they wanted to leave in the first place.

2) Indifference: Who cares if they are here. They're doing the jobs Americans don't want anyway. Let them stay. They're not hurting anything. And even if they are, its too expensive and complicated to kick them out.

3) Subservience: These people come here with a sub-standard education, little to no English, little to no professional skills. They will have to rely on the government if they're going to live a legitimate life. That means more social programs, bigger government and a block of potential voters who will never vote against big government.

Compassion I can understand. However, their very existence breaks our laws. They are here illegally. The first thing they did on American soil was break our laws.

The indifference crowd are simply kidding themselves. If we shouldn't enforce laws because its expensive or difficult, then why have laws? Tracking down any type of criminal isn't cheap and isn't easy. And don't give me this crap about Americans not willing to do certain types of jobs. When push comes to shove, a paycheck is a paycheck.

The subservient crowd is simply heartless. They'd condemn an entire population block to one step above serfdom just to ensure a few more votes.

I agree with the sentiment that the illegals need to go, but why your birthday? What's wrong with mine?

And to the other guy discussing the inventions of Americans, just a little fact check here. Eli Whitney, the inventor of the cotton gin, was a white guy.

The United States govt lets millions and millions of immigrants come into the country both legally and illegaly in order to destroy the American Culture. The American culture was basically derived from British ancestry in 1776 by both language customs and laws. During the intervening years of 1776 to 1666 there were many immigrants that came here most of them were Europeans of different countries and therefore not far removed from the White Anglo-American population. These other European immigrants Irish Italian Polish German Hungarian Russians French etc. came and wanted to adapt to the customs of the new country. Some of them learned english and all of the children and grandchildren learned english so that in time there were a couple of million of say German Americans who could not speak German but only their grandparents. for example.

Also to the many peeople who say we are a nation of immigrants well in 190 years from 1776 to 1966. There were only 10 million foreign immigrants who came to this country.
Also the United States was a fully formed country with a working language, a constitution, and laws before any immigrants started to come. Once the immigrants started to come their offspring were now US citizens adapting to the customs of this country and so therfore it was mostly Americans who built this country. (The descendants of African slaves were Americans who made many inventions, the cotton gin, the third rail on an electric train tracks etc. The red and green traffic light were inventions made by Black Americans, not immigrants) Also the airplane was made by Orville and Wibur Wright who were two American brothers alsoThomas Alva Edison was an American who invented the electric light bulb. Alexander Graham Bell was an American who invented the telephone and so on and so on. It was Americans who built houses and roads and buildings in cities

In just 15 years over 20 million people came to this country and only ten million came in 190 years previously. (So I think if only ten million people came in 190 years how can it really be said that "e are a nation of immigrants") That is just a propaganda line that the social engineers keep repeating to try and brainwash we Americans into believing that our country did nothing except for the help of the immigrants.

This is done on purpose because today's immigrants come from every country and culture from around the world and none of these new immigrants who started comming since 1966 to now in 2007 are asked to adapt to our American culture. Just on the news today they said that there are over half a million Muslims form Asian countries just living in New Jersey that now many schools will now start closing for Muslim holidays. Also they said that there are 90 so called ethnic holidays were students can legally be excused form school to celebrate their holidays be they Albanian Armenians russians or Nigerian or chinese or Mexican (get the idea). This is only happening in this country on such a great scale. Also voter registration forms are in several different languages

The US govt wants this to happen because in the end it will destroy the uniquely American personality and customs that built this country and made it a good place to live.

We started the labor movement to make better working conditions for middle class worers. Now with so many people comming here the labor movemnet is all but disappeared.

We should immediately stop all immigration for a period of at leat 25 to thirty years and deport ALL ILLEGAL ALIENS immediately and allow the legal ones already here time to adapt to our cxustoms language and laws and if they do not want to do so well the airplane is waiting at the airport and they can leave.

An Additional comment: President Theodore Roosevelt said that if you call your self a hyphenated American then you are not an American. The key is that you can come here if you want to adapt to our cusotms. If immigrants cannot live without their old customs then they should stay in their own country and enjoy, honor, and celbrate, their own culture in their own country. If they want to come here and become true Americans and adapt to our English language and laws and customs well then they are welcome to come and stay.

May I repeat again for emphasis that todays immigrants are allowed to come here legally and illegaly in such massive numbers on a scale never before seen in the history of migrations in the world in order to destroy the way of life that we know and so that the govt and corporations can have cheap labor and that we will become a patchwork or different languages and separate groups of people with no connecting customs to unite us as acountry.
Remember 20 million people came here in the past 15 years. NO country on earth has had such a massive amount of people come to live inside their country in the history of the world since the time of of nation states in such a short time.

Because our federal government is failing us. George Bush signed a bill in to law that mandates a fence be built along the entire southern border. If he was really serious about protecting Americans, the fence would be completed by now.
