I was a bit hungry and set out for a walk with my son everything seemed ok at first.... half way through the walk I noticed my vision became really blurry mostly in the distance ( Things were blurry that I could normally see clear) When I got home I almost threw up and felt very weak and light headed I had to lie down for a good while and my ears started ringing.... I had to eat and relax for a good while to recover.
I have had this happen before were my vision just suddenly becomes blurry... mostly on walks I have noticed....
I am breastfeeding my 9 month old son... I am 24 and have a slim/petite body type..... what could be wrong with me? what causes my vision to get blurry like that?

Always consult a physician to know for sure.
In the mean time...two things could be happening....
Not enough to eat before venturing on your walk. Which causes low blood sugar. Not diabetes, that is something different. Your symptoms sound directly related to low blood sugar. Which would make sense that you feel better after you eat again.
The second thing could be...since you are nursing. Are you taking a good multi vitamin and minerals supplement? Nursing drains everything from the Mother to the baby. Eating good and taking supplements are essential to keep YOU happy and healthy. Plus keep your blood up to par, if you tend to anemic, you may want something with Iron in it.
Anything is possible. But my first guess is my first mention...Low Blood Sugar.
Hope this helps,
~~Mafi

You need to get a physical examination and make sure a test for blood sugar is included. Your body is probably changing from pregnant to breast feeding and missing some necessary vitamins or minerals. If I recall correctly, what you describe can be the sign that you may have some problems with sugar level in your body but it can be other things as well. make sure that you take a good daily vitamin and see a doctor.

It sounds like it's HYPOGLYCIMIA...when your blood sugar gets too low.....
I would test it it out to see if it is. Here's what you do to make it better, you eat. Try eating...even though you don't feel like it do it anyway. Eat two tablespoons of peanut butter or drink a glass of orange juice..real juice..not koolaid like substances. Those two things work the fastest to make the yucky feelings go away. Any food works...just not as fast as they do.
I would try it and see. No harm in that. You normally will feel better in just a minute or two.. and if it is..I would bring some juice or whatever when you go walking.
It's probably because you are breast feeding...your body is struggling a little to do everything at once.

A drop in blood sugar? Check to be sure you are not hypoglycemic (or diabetic). I have had similar problems when I have gone too long without eating. Usually eating something like a banana or cheese and crackers helps and I'm better in about 10 minutes or so.
Also, be sure to eat well and drink lots of liquids: milk, juice, good stuff. I nursed three kids and I was ravenous during that time. I definitely needed to nourish my body well or I would get exhausted and my milk production would suffer.

Stress, and your body is lacking a nutrient. Continue taking your prenatal vitamins, do not stop taking your vitamins, most important drink fluids and eat healthy. Call your Dr. and set up an appointment. That's happened to me, just could be many things, don't worry because the minute you start doing that, sickness will attack your body, be positive and do not claim to your body a sickness you don't have. The mind is very powerful, don't allow it to play tricks on you...

If eating helped you recover, it might be hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). I'm no doctor but those sound like the symptoms that my mom has and she has it. I have some of those same symptoms but I haven't been tested yet. I know I need to. You should too just in case. They sell glucose pills at the drug store that you can carry around with you if that's what you have.

See your doctor, this could be something very serious and you really don't want to take advise from one of the random quacks that appear around here (yes, there are real medical people here but how could you tell the difference between them and the quacks?).
Don't do anything else or listen to anyone online who attempts to diagnose the problem, they're probably going to get it wrong.

Please note that more than one condition could cause the symptoms you describe. It's therefore *very* important that you see a doctor/medical professional as soon as you're able.
It sounds like it could be hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). I read recently that "true hypoglycemia" only occurs in diabetics, but "pre-diabetics" may have insulin resistance which would cause symptoms like the ones you describe.
See the link below for a more authoritative and much more detailed explanation.

Could it be high blood pressure? Even slim people can have high blood pressure or heart disease. It may also be the onset of a stroke - not trying to frighten you, only alert you to the very dangerous things it could be - get to the docter soon.

Sounds like hypo/hypertension. All that means is low/high blood pressure. They both can definitely impair your vision, give you dizzy spells, and make you feel nauseous.
Go to your doctor, they'll be able to help you out.
