It is about 5ft tall, was sold at Home Depot and I have it indoors, looks tropical, has very thick stems... one for each leaf, dark green, the leaves are about 1-2 ft long in an oval type shape whith a point at the end and smooth oval type at the stem connection, also, the leaves are smooth on the sides. One large viegn runs up through the center of each leaf and then there are smaller viens running out from there. Any help is much appreciated so I do not give it too much or too little of water/sun.

Not a rubber tree but thx. Leaves are a normal dark green not the purple green you see there and is more of just a large tropical plant, not a tree I do not think but what do I know, lol.

It can either be alocasia or colocasia

1 )Alocasia is a genus of broad-leaved rhizomatous or bulbous perennials from the Family Araceae. There are about 70 species of Alocasia occurring in Asia, Oceania and South America.

The large cordate or sagittate leaves grow to a length of 20 to 90 cm on long petioles.

Their beautiful araceous flowers grow at the end of short stalk, but are not conspicuous, often hidden behind the leaf petioles.

2)Colocasia is a genus of six to eight species of flowering plants in the family Araceae, native to tropical Polynesia and southeastern Asia (Wagner, Herbst, and Sohmer, 1999). Common name "Elephant-ear", or "Taro" this name also used for some other large-leaved genera in the Araceae, notably Xanthosoma and Caladium.

They are herbaceous perennial plants with a large rhizome on or just below the ground surface.

The leaves are large to very large, 20-150 cm long, with a sagittate shape. The elephant's-ear plant gets its name from the the leaves, which are shaped like a large ear or shield.

Keep them moist and do not over water them .

Require good sunlight .

That way they are hardy plants .
