It's not a requirement, it's part of the negotiations. I demand they do before I sign on the dotted line. I've never bought a car without the dealer going that extra mile. Shows me if they have any integrity or not.

I was given half a tank of gas initially, when at some point they said I'd get a full tank. I bitched and got to go back a week later and get the other half of a tank. I would think so, honestly, it's the least they could do.

usually they give you between 1/4 and 3/4 tank of gas...I just bought my truck 2 months ago and thats what they put in,. It might be up to the individual dealership but most do not fill up the entire tank

Some dealers do and some don't. There is always enough gas to get to a station, though.

yes, even when second hand,,, my hubby just brought a preowned car from a car yard and they filled it up, but he did ask, cos he said everyone reckons they should!

i bought a brandnew car back in june and my tank was on E!!
