You were within your rights and probably helped the pizza place out ~ I doubt it's company policy for a deliverer to bring his gf along for the ride.
I wonder though if you'd have been quite so unhappy if you hadn't already had a stressful day? Maybe not, but whatever you do, don't avoid using them if you enjoyed the pizza. Why should YOU be embarrassed????
Instead, next time you call, remind them that you are the lady who waited 90 minutes for a pizza. Explain that because the pizza was really good, you have decided to give them another chance.
I would be willing to bet you get great service. In fact, if I was them, you'd get something extra for free.
And, if they do let you down the second time, well, it does not matter how delicious the product is, you know they'll be out of business soon and that's the problem solved.
Cheers :-)

They should not have made a promise time if they had no intention of being there on time, and the delivery guy should NEVER bring anyone with him. They could have called you when they knew they were behind schedule, OR gave you a big discount - I would have called them and complained too. They will never improve if the customers do not tell them what they are doing wrong!
Since the pizza was good, next time have someone else order it - it is really hard to find good pizza anymore!

That's very unprofessional, but if the pizza was good, give them another chance in a few weeks... the cook will still be the same, but odds are that if this was anything like a regular thing for that delivery guy, he'll have been fired by then and they'll have another guy delivering your pizza!
And sorry it happened to you at such a bad time.

Ah... well I understand your anger, and I certainly wouldn't hold it against you... the only thing is, it probably had nothing to do with the person you talked to on the phone. I am guessing the hold up was the girlfriend... so the girl in the store (who was probably quite busy if she was fumbling through orders) was lectured on a driver who she has no control over - making minimum wage and you were probably her 10th call that night. I don't think you were wrong, but unfortunately the wrong person got the lecture.

Mike Hunt. I used to work for a company where one of the sales reps came in almost wetting himself with laughter. He had been to see a client, a Mr M Hunt but he didn't know what his first name was. The receptionist at the office greeted our rep and then started to try to track down Mr Hunt. It was only when she called to a colleague "has anyone seen Mike Hunt?" that our rep lost it completely!

Maybe give them another chance. It may have been a one off event. No use depriving yourself of good pizza.

I would've been pretty peeved, too. I would've called and asked for the drivers supervisor and I would've calmly explained what happened. You're not out of line to ask for some sort of compensation, either.
