Is this complete nonsense or is there some medical merit to the theory that our blood group determines how our bodies deal with different nutrients. Any first-hand experience out there?

I read the book and followed it for a little bit (a few weeks).
Its very hard to follow and it has no scientific evidence of being true and there are no researches done to support it.

My partner was obsessed over this diet, I bought him the book and from what I've heard it can be beneficial but if you are cooking for more that one it will become very expensive. Me and my boyfriend are different blood types and you have to eat totally different foods to each other. We never started, it would be extremely hard to stick to.
I think common sense and exercise are the best solution
