I am typing a paper that has a main focus on the body's natural reaction to bacteria or a virius. What I can't remember is rather or not the production of mucus as a way to rid the body of bacteria would be apart of the lymphatic system, since the lymphatic system does infact deal with mainly all other matter of desposing of bacterium.

It is really a reaction of epithelium, such as nose, mouth, conjunctivae in the eyes, vagina, etc.
