Do the Air Force basic trainees have much time to write to family and loved ones while at basic? My boyfriend have been gone for almost 2 weeks now and I haven't heard a word from him...Any thoughts?

My boyfriend just graduated from basic, I didn't get a letter from him until after 3 weeks passed... He did get to call me once, right before the 4th week...
Make sure the letters you send include only letters and pictures(appropriate ones) anything else and he'll be given a lot of trouble for it...

I didn't get to write until my 5th week into Basic. It's different with each flight. I've known some that write the first week and some that don't until the end. Don't worry too much.

they have one day a week in which they have a few hours of private time. many use that time for other things like getting uniforms ready for the next day, sleep and church. Additionally, if he was never a letter writer beforehand, he won't magically turn into one now.
he is BUSY, and frankly, won't always have time to write to you. I got zero letters from mine while he was in Navy Boot Camp 13 years ago. Not even a postcard.

No, when I was at Lackland, I only got the time to write 2 letters, and I only had a few minutes to write them, the first one was me just complaining to my mom how badly it SUCKED, and it really worried her, but things were not that bad, I was just venting, so if you get a letter saying how sad he is and how bad he hates it, don't worry, he is fine, he just needs to let it out.

no when I was in Air Force basic (in 1993) we had little time, however, if he hasn't written once in two weeks, I would be a little concerned, because you don't have hardly any time, but you can definately write atleast once in two weeks

Honestly, they really don't. Basic is pretty much chock full of one thing after another. Don't hold it against him, please...

He is probably too busy right now,he will have time soon. They do alot of training.
