its ok that you may be poor, one or two of my best friends are sort of that way too...although it gets a little awkward sometimes....anyway....i think you should do something like go to the park, or the beach that doesn't cost money, but think of something to do, like talk or something...girls don't really care that much about that stuff usually....besides, if you're always so inhibited, not just literally, but acting like its a big deal and its really embarresing, then you will always have some troubles and will feel embarrased when you don't need to. just don't worry about it. also, for the future, a lot of acting places pay their actors, if you're ok on stage, its really fun, you should check it out sometime...and you're girlfriend could come watch the play! love acting.....it rocks........ Good Luck!!! :)

If you don't want your mother to know you are dating, then that is a problem right there. It is good your "girlfriend" knows you are poor, because that means you don't have to spend money meeting her expectations, you have the opportunity to plan with her to do things that are fun and give you a good time together without spending a fortune. And you can practice negotiation and sharing with her which is useful both in dating a modern woman and in marriage.

Well what you saving money for? College? Well i think you should USE YOUR MONEY WISELY. Talk to your girlfriend about it. Just don't waste your money on buying your girlfriend presents. Just pay for your own things on the date. But when its her birthday, get her a present at least so she knows you're not that cheap.

When I met the lady that I eventually married, the first things I told her were all my faults, including the money I didn't have. "there it is, no surprises, take it or leave it. She came from a wealthier family and she "took it". We are still married (and happily) today.

you should tell your girlfriend the truth, if she really loves you she's going to understand you. that's what i will like, to know the truth.
+ there's nothing wrong about being poor.
good luck
