I too have very long, slender legs. My advantage in sparring is I have extended reach but my downfall is strength because I just dont have much muscle mass to work with, so I have to train more to strength my legs. To help you strength your leg muscles you should do extra training with kicking drills. Go up and down the dojo floor with kicks without touching the floor. You'll be AMAZED at how much your quads and hamstrings will benefit. Your speed will improve also.
Also, to help strengthen your bones for impact's sake, take an empty wine bottle and use that as a sort of makiwara board. Our bones are solid but have spongy bone surrounding them. When it's impacted it grows back much denser created a harder surface, thus stronger bone. This is why experienced martial artists can drive their shins through 6 blocks of ice or concrete without breaking legs or causing pain.
Just keep training and you'll see the difference. Just don't expect to be awesome without working hard to be awesome. It just doesn't happen that way!

No it does not...you have your advantages.
You will probably be able to kick faster and do more flexible kicks, there are many kinds of kicks.
When you develope your martial arts skills, your muscles will also develope, turning your socalled "thin and soft legs" into stronger legs.
It makes no difference with different kinds of legs...if you are willing, you will do well. It is all in the training.

No, it's more a matter of technique. Ichiro is not noted for the size of his biceps, but he can hit the ball out of the park.
