Can anyone tell me which saint Terese leaves the church and the Virgin Mary comes down in her place?

I don't think any of them did. I remember an old Spanish story -- I think from medieval days -- of a young nun who was bored with convent life. So she left her keys (which she needed for her chores) at the feet of a statue of the Blessed Mother and said, "I'm leaving for a while. Please take care of things until I get back." Then she left the convent, and indulged in all kinds of worldly pleasures for a few years. When she had gotten over the parties and the lovers and the rich food and fine clothes, she went back to the convent, snuck in, and retrieved her keys from the Blessed Mother. Nobody had noticed she was gone, because the Blessed Mother had taken her form and her place, and done all her duties for her.
This story is amusing, but certainly it doesn't come from the life of a saint.
