Plain carbonated water or mineral water doesn't have sugar or caffeine so it is better than sodas like Coke or Pepsi.

Both are good ways to increase water intake.

THAT IS THE drink of choice for people.... there is no sugar added in mineral water... europeans like the soda sparkling on the water but I prefer just plain mineral water

No. It is safer than the flavored drinks. in case you did not know, soda water is added to the syrup [Coke/ Pepsi/etc.. other flavors] to make the drinks. So if you drink soda water, is healtier and makes you burp. BOTTOMS UP!!!!!!!!
