What would you do with your cousin if he acts violent but can't help it? He doesn't care that he is on probation and is bringing his family down (his sister, my aunt and uncle). We have had problems with him for years and does not care about anything anymore, hes given up and doesn't think of the future, and lives on a day to day basis, meaning he doesn't want anything for himself and only thinks about what will happen that day. He has had thoughts about killing ones he's close to. He smokes cigarettes and weed, and drinks alcohol. The reason he is on probation is because he had blood-alcohol poisoning and was in the hospital for about 3 days. My uncle can't take it anymore, and he already has lots of stress. Not to mention this kid is 14 years old, almost 15. They went through christian councelling and he thought God would fix all of his problems, but he prayed and his thoughts of killing his cousin weren't gone so he said F*** GOD. I need help with him, and my uncle barely has $

He does not know what is right from one, i mean intellectually he does but he feels nothing, like guilt or sadness. He feels anger all of the time, runs away. No one pays attention to my other cousin because he's out being a stupid *****, almost brainwashing my aunt and uncle

Christianity is good, but is not a cure-all. I hate to say that, but to always say let go and let God does not help someone with psychological problems.

This boy needs real help. He's got problems and will not be saved by faith. Why do you think God gave people the ability to learn about psychosis, or medical issues? Why did God give man the ability to learn about laws, and right from wrong? So that they could help themselves!!!!

Faith will only help those who are lost in their faith... This young man needs a psychologist, not a minister.

He will kill someone if he does not get resolution. Has all the symptoms of a child on the way to shooting at his school, or serial killing when he gets a bit older.

Please get him real help. They have programs for those with no money, especially for those who have already been in trouble. If he has to be put in a mental institute, you can get it court ordered, too. That will cost tax payers, and not your uncle.

Contracting "blood-alcohol poisoning" doesn't get one arrested and placed on probation; committing crimes while tanked up drunk and high, however, does. So this 14 year old is NO angel. So don't insult us here by washing over matters.

From the sound of things, this is a tragic case of a 14 year old drug and alcohol addict--who may be bi-polar; his addictions are akin to pouring gasoline on a fire.

Given your his family may not have the insurance or $$$ to cover a productive detox clinic stay, maybe having his attorney place him in a state-funded detox facility--one that may be shorter than one paid privately, but right now--any measure of help is sorely needed here.

I can imagine this boy's family are under immense stresses right now. It's best they find some form of affordable counseling for themselves, some program they can go into and learn how to deal w/ such a tragic situation.

I can't stress enough that any measure of help right now is sorely needed for this teen addict---who is on the way to that two forked road; one side is prison, the other side is death.

I really feel for your family. My sister was the same way. She is now an adult and got there with the grace of God. I am not implying that religion will do the trick, he would have to believe in the power of God for it to work for him. In NY we have what is called PINS - persons in need of supervision. It is for children up till the age of 16. Although you say he is already on probation. He should be receiving some kind of therapy and should be evaluated for ADHD and bipolar disorder. It is very common for people who are not diagnosed and or treated for these two conditions to wind up in this type of situation. Medication and therapy can be a great asset. Without some kind of medical and or psychological intervention this will get worse and he will wind up getting lost in the system and spending more time in prison then with those that love and care for him.

He needs to be off the streets before he hurts someone while he's in a drug or alcohol fog.

Call his probation officer and let him know what is happening. You can be sure they will yank his chain and put him where he belongs before he injures someone. Having a nutter like this around is a danger to everyone including the teenagers.

Call the probation officer. He's violated his probation in numerous ways ... drugs and alcohol, terroristic threats, child endangerment, etc.

Jesus wants you to call the probation officer, NOW.

Not sure what state you live in... but check into your local Social Services or Emergency Department... it sounds like he needs immediate psychiatric hospitalization and then to go into possibly a Level 3 Group Home to get the 24/7 counseling he needs and the outpatient counseling...

They make medicine for psychotics. Try to get him to a dr. and ask the dr. about ridperdal. I think it will help him. The thing is..I don't know if he can drink with it. They might need to confine him to make him take the medicine and maybe therapy and help him overcome this disease. Good Luck. Don't let him destroy your family .
