I cooked with jalapeno peppers today (it was my first time and no one ever told me to use gloves).

Now my fingers feel like they are going to burst into flames at any moment. I am near tears.

So far I have tried......

1. Soaking them in milk.
2. Soaking them in cold water.
3. Bleach
4. Lemon
5. Coffee grounds
6. Aloe
7. Oatmeal lotion
8. Vegetable Oil
9. Dawn dish detergent

Nothing is working and I can't think of anything else. What should I do next? Any suggestions welcome.

*6 going on 7 hours of burning

Go to the pharmacy (or call); the pharmacist might be able to help.

If it's been this long, you're having an allergic reaction.

Try just a little bit of rubbing alcohol to get rid of the capsacin, which is what is making your skin burn.

Next, try the heaviest dairy product you have on hand. Heavy cream is best, but half and half or whole fat milk will work too.

Hydrocortisone cream works well too, especially if you're allergic.

You may want to pop an allergy pill as well, such as Benadryl.

Still burning? Visit a doctor.

*Don't EVER put straight bleach on your skin! Half of your pain is probably coming from that alone, especially if you have sensitive skin like I do.

Next time, wear gloves!

This is all I could find, doesn't look like you tried alcohol yet...
"If you do get pepper burn, rub isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol on your skin to dissolve the capsaicin and then rinse it off. Rub an ointment, aloe vera, body lotion, or even milk products like yogurt over the area. In general, you can soothe the capsaicin burn with milk products internally, and alcohol products externally."
I'd have to say, if the alcohol doesn't seem to be working, start in with a different kind of alcohol (the kind you can take internally). At least if you get drunk, you might be able to sleep it off. If you don't drink, take some Tylenol PM, the antihistamine might help some, too.

You shouldn't be having this much trouble so you may be having an allergic reaction. You didn't mention it, but we'll assume you washed your hands thoroughly. You should probably put hand cream on them if you have it. Take some aspirin and an antihistamine like Benadrill.

Oh geez! Sounds like you've tried too many things... Those are all of the remedies I know of. I think time might be the only thing left to try... Hope you feel better soon.

Ah, yet another reiteration of the "difficulty of evil". God gave guy loose will, without which guy ought to not rather love God. besides the indisputable fact that, guy can misuse that loose will, inclusive of twisting some thing that is sturdy, alongside with faith, into some thing it extremely is evil. until eventually the unbeliever can coach that a universe with love (besides the actuality that it involves the potential of evil) can not be extra useful than a universe without love (besides the actuality that it involves no probability of evil), then the "difficulty of evil" argument will constantly falter. it is not God who brought about the human suffering etc, yet guy's misuse of loose will.
