You shouldn't use two products together at the same time unless a dermatologist tells you to or a doctor. You should stick to clean and clear if your skin is improving and it is working. For the creams, I you should use the acne cream first so it gets right in contact with the acne. if you don't like clean and clear then switch to a product that has medication inside the tube like st. ives.

you want to just find something that won't dry out your skin, just the blemish. benzoyl peroxide is the main ingredient used in spot treatment medications, while salicylic acid is the main ingredient in acne washes, etc. the higher the benzoyl peroxide, the more drying (but possibly more effective) the medication. you may need to see a dermatologist and get a prescription if your acne doesn't start to clear up. sometimes this can actually be more cost effective, rather than spending money on lots of different over the counter washes
