or just God. No gender because that's a human restriction.

I know we're taught Our father who art in heavan but have you really thought about it?

Do you really think God is the one with a PP?

Or the beautiful loving woman, with a womb that can support life and is so precious that a woman with deseases has a chance to have the baby with out passing on that ailment?

Look at their breasts, they work. We have them too but nothing comes out.

Look at all the fish in the ocean all the pretty colors look at the colors and beauty of nature. If God was a man all the fish would be brown catfish looking fish.

And the Bible. ONLY a woman would have that much to say.

If God was a man he would say be good now pass it on.

Dear Billy,

In most of nature, the male is pretty gender of fish, animals, and the female is the plain one.

God is God, He is a Spirit and He's not human of either gender.

Ask you Mommy and Daddy to get you a Bible for Christmas, then read it.

Since God is a spirit, and in all likelihood doesn't have a penis, He isn't a male.

Jesus had to represent Him as such in the times He lived on Earth because of how fiercely patriarchal the Jewish society was. "Our Mother who art in heaven" would not have been accepted, even by the "good guys" of Jesus's time.

We get a hint about God's gender in Genesis. The 2nd of the creation stories says that when God made man "in His own image; male and female He made them."

So if male and female is BOTH God's image.... what is the conclusion?

MCC has a great hymn they sing to the tune of "Onward Christian Soldiers." One line says "Our God is not a woman, our God is not a man. Our God is both and neither. God is the Great I AM."

The off-rhyme notwithstanding ;) that's pretty good theology, I think.

Yes, Almighty God is a man.
He created Adam in His image, but Jesus Christ WAS and IS Almighty God in the flesh. Remember, Jesus said, "If you have SEEN ME, you HAVE SEEN MY Father which is in Heaven."

Almighty God created woman as a strong, nurturing, protective, supportive helpmate for Adam. He took a rib from Adam's side, so that the woman would walk WITH and BESIDE her man...not behind him, not under him, but BESIDE man.

Man was NOT created to be the maternal nurturer and life sustainer of his children. He was created to be the protector, defender, provider, and spiritual head of the family.

You have obviously never read the personal diaries and journals of men throughout history. Talking it out, recording everything (i.e., thoughts, words, deeds, and concerns) through pen or tongue is NOT ONLY predisposed to females.

Almighty God made sure that The Holy Bible speaks to each person, race, political realm, and event of the time. Almighty God loves mankind SO well that He took the time to send prophets to speak to, warn, and help ALL peoples on ALL economic, geographical, political, religious, & ethnic levels throughout time.

You have obviously NOT become a parent yet. As a parent you know that saying, "Be good now pass it on" does not resolve it for children. They always say, "WHY?" And they expect we as parents to have age relative parallels to explain WHY.

Almighty God KNEW this and HE as an EXCELLENT parent was prepared with age relative answers for ALMOST ALL of mankind's many WHYS!

If God were a woman the Bible would have said so. God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. That is it.

Not when the comments of Paul are taken into account.
Paul had Jesus' blessing to preach so therefore anything that Paul said was backed by Jesus, in turn backed by Jesus' Father in heaven, Jehovah God.
this is what Paul said.
(1 Timothy 2:11-15) Let a woman learn in silence with full submissiveness. 12 I do not permit a woman to teach, or to exercise authority over a man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 Also, Adam was not deceived, but the woman was thoroughly deceived and came to be in transgression. 15 However, she will be kept safe through childbearing, provided they continue in faith and love and sanctification along with soundness of mind.

Whether we agree or not, God created women for a particular role in life, to help and assist but not to lead.

if u believe 'god' is whatever u want, who says we have a 'creator' other than our parents, their parents etc; the bible is after all a book and u can not always believe what you read!! as it was written so long ago,we have come a long way, more understanding of the world and how it works..they were good at telling stories way back and if they were good and told right u would believe it.men were the story tellers, going from village to village, then went home and told their version, some person was clever enough to write them down!

Actually I don't think of God as a man or a woman rather a spirit who encompasses all of humanity. Not a human form at all as a matter of fact.

I don't know how you are thanking, but its not coming out right.
God is not mortal, human flash and blood. God is spirit, and spirit is not sexual. When Jesus returns the second time, and change all those in Christ, from mortal to immortal, they also, will not be sexual any more. There is no sex in the ever lasting life. God is neither man nor woman.

Jesus taught us to pray, "Our Father..." Why should the gender even matter? God is divine. He is a spirit and those who worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. In God's plan of creation, the man was the provider and protector. The fallible nature of so many of the human male gender in acting out that role is no cause to despise the benevolence of a loving father in heaven.

I love the Lord and one day we will see him as he is; if we believe in him. Until then, I cry, "Abba Father!" and enjoy his help and providence. Gender is of no concern to me when it comes to my provider! He is my all and all.
God bless you!

Could be. But if God is everything, then God is Male-Female at the same time. If God is spirit, then God does not have a gender.
