Please don't label yourself. I read your profile, and would think you are a "normal", young woman processing so very many changes in your physical, as well as your psychological being.
Since this is a normal process that all young women experience, I don't feel therapy is called for. It would however be helpful.
Would hope you have an older woman in your life, that you could trust, if so share this with them. Their input will allow you a better understanding of what you are experiencing.

Bipolar is a complicated condition that looks like a lot of other illnesses, so i would beware self diagnosing or letting anyone from answers telling you what you have or do not have.

That said, I do believe you need to see a doctor for a physical check up to make sure their is no physical cause for your symptoms like a thyroid disorder, counselor for your emotional issues and to develop some coping strategies to handle situations where you feel out of control you described above and most certainly a psychiatrist for a proper evaluation and diagnosis, maybe treatment.

Bipolar is not a life sentence if you have it and can be treated very successfully with medication and therapy, so you can lead a mostly normal existence. In the mean time, try to eat well, get some good regular sleep and exercises if you can when you feel the angry, irritable emotions come on to expend the energy in a constructive way.

However, you need to care for yourself whatever you have right now and if you feel like you are in any danger of harming yourself or someone else, you need to talk to your doctor or if you are in immediate crisis, go to the emergency ward of your nearest hospital now.

I'd say you're probably depressed. The reason I say that is because you didn't mention any times where you feel extremely happy, like you could do anything in the world, etc. You didn't mention any dangerous behaviors (other than suicide) such as overspending, promiscuous sex, gambling, etc. If you've ever had any periods of time with feelings/behaviors like this, or have gone days with little to no sleep, then I would say you're bipolar. However, you don't mention those things, so I think you're depressed. The symptoms you mentioned are serious. Go to your family doctor and discuss your symptoms with him or her. Your doc might prescribe you meds or refer you to a psychiatrist for meds (some family docs will prescribe psych meds, others aren't as comfortable with it). You should also seek therapy as well...studies have shown that depression has a better chance of being cured if meds and therapy are used together. If you're feeling like hurting yourself right now, talk to someone you trust. Go to the ER. They can help you there. Good luck and hope this helps.

I dont think you are bipolar, thats from what you have just said though, I think you are depressed though (which is better than being bipolar).
I myself am bipolar and to be classed as that you need to have the manic episodes and depressive episodes.
The best way to find out is to see a doctor or psychologist who will ask you a range of questions about your mood and then determine what you are suffering from.
Good luck and feel bettr

I am not a psychologist or medical person of any sort, so don't take this as the final word.

Unless you cycle between periods of feeling depressed, and feeling normal, you don't sound bipolar to me.

But you DO sound like you have clinical depression. GO TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR ABOUT IT NOW. If not your doctor, talk to your parents, your spouse, your teacher, your preacher/priest/rabbi, your scout leader, your school counselor, your pharmacist, your local crisis intervention line.

BUT TALK TO SOMEONE.

Depression is treatable. But to get treatment, YOU have to take the first step. Don't even bother signing off when you read this - call 1-800-784-2433 right now.

You don't sound like it.
I'm Bipolar but mine is controled.
Here is a look into a Bipolar persons mind.

When you are low you cry for hours sometimes for no reason..nothing has caused it. You just get sad. You want to die. Sometimes all of the time you are awake is focused on doing so. Normally you act more than once. You think about it all the time. Sometimes you don't nessecarilly want to die but you find yourself thinking about it anyway. You also tend to sleep for hours.. I have slept for over 14 hours straight on many occasions only getting up to pee. You get so tired when you are down. These states can last up to 6 months..normally they last about a month or so give and take a few weeks.

When you are high...you get so happy. Nothing...seriously nothing can get you down. If someone told you your mother was very sick and may die you would fine something good/positive to focus on. If you have ever smoked pot it's one hundred times better than your best joint. You feel like you can do anything and no one can stop you...and those who do are just parainoid. You feel so good. You feel like a million bucks and normally act like it...conceted... You will also do things most wouldn't do. Like go spend ALL your money in the bank and use all your savings on something...such as a new car when you can't really afford it. You feel so confident too...you feel like going up to every man and having sex with them all. Regardless of what you wind up with...that never crosses your mind since you are too good for that to happen to. It just doesn't happen. Alot of the time you will have halucentations too. I thought I could move things with my eyes only. I thought it was my god given gift and I was special...god loved me more than others so I got to have this gift.....I had also come up with many plans about how the world...it had to do with the pyrimids and such....crazy....Did you know Stephen King was Bipolar....truely good stories...but I believed them. Then all this ends. FAST. and you drop down and become severly mean and aggresive. Like a BAD case of PMS and the thought process that you have when you get angry makes no sense...you don't know that though. There is no reason for doing the things you do. NONE at this point. These manic states have been know to last for months at a time.

Then you have mixed states...they are not as dramatic as above but you feel the same way just kind of diluted/watered down. They are not as intense/or strong...and some of those things disapear. This is far from being better though...as your feelings still change from being happy to sad like that. They go back and fourth for no reason. I have once felt sad all of a sudden while having sex...I was happy and everything just seemed to fall apart.

The main thing is all this happens for no reason....nothing causes this to happen...like someone saying something mean you will feel sad or pissed...that is justified....this is not that.
I don't think that this is you as many other people would notice..like your mom or whoever you live with....I was diagnosed at seven.
Bipolar is like a very long rollarcoster ride you can't get off....sometimes it's very fun but most of the time it's not...You have no control over the way you feel....the scary thing is most of the time Bipolar people don't know anything is wrong with them just like scizophrenic people don't know they are scizophrenic.

Only a licensed professional can diagnose your condition. Please don't let yahoo decide on your condition.
However, you do have something wrong. Is there things you aren't telling that makes you so angry.
Many times we keep our feelings inside and believe what we are going through or feeling isn't worth talking about.
Please call your local Dr and tell him/her about your symptoms. You don't have to feel this way.

if you think so , go to a doctor and get a mental evaluation. That is the only way to know for sure. It does not sound like it though, sounds like it is purely depression..
