If a true christian is one who believes christ was born in the flesh and lived among us and then died for us and saved us, rose from dead, and defeated death, than why do Christians not stand up for God Who gave His only begotten Son to us?

I don't understand the question fully. Christians that are ashamed are not really Christians at all. They are pretenders. Just because you believe in Christ doesn't make you a Christian a true follower of Christ is born again, lives his/her life according to His Word, has faith, and you can see it on the outside as well. They should act different, dress differently, not do the things other people would do. You should see the good in them.

Christian means little Christ or Christ like. I see a lot of people saying they are Christians but not many acting like they are Christians. Christ loved and we should also and that means the lost. While we were yet sinners Christ dies for us. I am so sick of so called Christians trying to scare the hell out of non believers. If your a Christian because you are scared of hell then you may want to re-think what a Christian is. There is only of difference between a true Christian and a non believer and that is the blood of Jesus, we are not esteemed any higher then any other human on the earth, if you don't believe me pick up your bible it says God is no respecter of persons. He loves us all even the non believers.

Well, i'm not exactly Christian, but i do believe that being a true Christian just includes that you have a relationship with God and Jesus Christ and have faith and true belief in your heart and just keep in communication through prayer. You can go to church and call yourself "Christian" but Christians I know just say that it's not acutally being that name, Christian, it's just having a relationship and acceptance.. However, i've never actually heard of any Christian who does not stand up for God..maybe those Christians who said that didn't have faith in God?

Bless you! You just gave a personal invitation to believe in Jesus Christ, and you did it the form of a question.

I believe there is a difference in calling one's self a "Christian" and being truly "born again" by His Spirit. A person who has experienced the "new birth" is not offended when others call them names, but IS offended when others call their Savior names and mock Him. And, a person who has experienced the "new birth" will not let anyone or anything deter them from reaching out to others in love and sharing the Gospel with them.

I do stand for this truth. I also strive to have and exhibit charity because without it, you can give your body to be burned but it won't do you any good. The best message one can send about true Christianity is the one that is lived in unconditional love towards sinners and towards their neighbor and their brothers and sisters in Christ. If we will continually spend more time in prayer and the Word, we will have more of the love of God shed abroad in our hearts. That supernatural tangible love is what drew us to God and what melts hearts and convicts them of their sins. Still, annointed preaching has it's place. I pray God will make all His children better witnesses for His kingdom's sake.

There is no such thing as a "True Christian". It's a complete contradiction in terms.Christ taught that we are not separate("what you do to the least among you--you do to me"),("Ye are all Gods")("the Kingdom of God is within you")--
Yet once one takes on the label "Christian"-they have separated themselves from the rest of mankind which is exactly the opposite of what Christ taught.

NO.... A True Christian.... is one that HAS BELIEVED..... Just as JESUS.... Said in ..... John 7:38-39 !

A True Christian.... has the Holy Spirit.. [ Romans 8:9 ]...... and BELIEVES the Word of GOD.... The Bible.... ALL OF IT...!

(1Corinthians 2:11-16) For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.

(1Co 2:12) Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

(1Co 2:13) Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

(1Co 2:14) But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

(1Co 2:15) But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

(1Co 2:16) For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Thanks, RR

Christians do stand up for God. You mean to tell me you've never met a Christian who stands up for God? Where do you live?

And when do they not stand up for him? This is an odd question. Most Christians I know, are looking for ways to serve God.
