A great work of historical fiction with some important lessons on life and the workings of the universe. It may not tell you how the world works, but it helps explain why some of what happens, happens. It's definitely not a textbook for natural sciences, but it's a great allegory for the human condition. It also has a great section on the history of Judaism.

Do you mean HOW? The bible can be thought of as the inspired word of God. That is HOW the Bible can be thought of.

I don't think the Bible should be taken literally. I consider just Moral and Ethical Guidelines for Better Living, but to be self interpreted.

A book chock full of morals, but nothing truly historical (just because it has historical references, doesn't mean anything, so does Beowulf, but does that mean that the story actually happened?)

the bible can be thought of as a guide like a map to make ur way in jesus and believing in him and doing what it tells u to do and when the rapture comes ull go into heaven andthe people who dont believe then they will go to hell...it is not fantasy and not stupidity ..it is 4 reals..!! believe in god and u will know if u really do believe
