Yes, I know it's not a religious or spiritual question, but I want answers and this is the only place to get them.

Ha ha -- nihilistic children's book...nope, don't know of any. If someone gives you the name of one, let me know. I'd love to see it.

Do you really mean nihilistic, or merely atheist? Nihilism is a pretty esoteric philosophy to try to explain to a little kid. I suppose any story that turns out to be a dream at the end might be construed as nihilistic.

Why don't you write one?

P.S. "Lord of the Flies" may be ABOUT children, but it certainly is not FOR children!

The catcher in the Rye by JD Salinger, and if you don't find what you are after here, try philosophy, which is what nihilism is, as far as it is anything.
