Absolutely yes, you will need to re-zero your optic any time you remove it and replace it.

Yes. When you remove a scope, you can never get it back exactly as it came off so it will need to be resighted. No matter what anyone tells you, you will need to resight it. If you don't. you could misss the shot of your life. Don't take the chance.

For sure. when you take a scope off and refit it, it will sit slightly differently. The smallest change of angle (even if undectable to the eye) makes quite a difference range. Especially if you are shooting long range like 200 yards plus. If you are switching scopes between rifles, best bet is to buy a second scope. will save you a lot of mucking around.

YES...,As Boker advised you will have to re-zero your scope if you remove it unless you use Redfield Or Leupold Scope Rings, that stay attached to the scope and are removed by pivoting and lifting up the Scope. All other conventional rings will require you to re-zero, but the adjustments should be very minor and not be far from where they were when you removed the Scope.

It depends on the type of scope mounts you use, Leupold mounts shouldn't need to be rezeroed after putting the scope back on, as long as you didn't move the mounts or rings. Your standard ring mounts for scope tho, upon replacing the scope you will need to dial the scope in again.

Most of the time yes..... if you have the piccatinny rail system with the pins that go straight through then you can put the scope right back on in the same exact place, then take a couple shots to verify your zero..... but you must have the rail with the pin system.

If you have picatinny or Weaver type base and you don't take the base off the rifle or the rings off the scope then you should be ok. I have done this many times and still do it today.

That depends on your scope mounts. A tip-off mount is designed to be removed and replaced with no change in zero. If do not know what type of mounts that you have, then yes you do need to check the zero.

Yes you will need to sight it in again. Because when you put it back on, it's going to be in a different place and lose its zero.

The wise thing to do is shoot it again after you put it back on just to be absolutely certain it has not changed.** Most hunters or shooters will do this automatically. You are going to fire it again anyway at some point, so just test it to be sure it has not changed its point of impact.**

Unless you use a mounting system that is designed to return to zero then yes, absolutely.

Even with return to zero mounts it is a good idea to fire a few rounds just to make sure.
