It grows back coarser.
You'd be better getting it waxed by a professional, or possibly bleaching it.

There is nothing wrong with shaving if you are a girl. Why should girls have to put up with facial hair if it can be removed instead, either by shaving or by facial hair remover? I personally think it is disgusting to see a woman with those long hairs over their lip or on their chin! And if the hair is coming out of a facial mole, it still can be cut off with cuticle scissors so the mole isn't disturbed
It is NOT true that the hair will grow in thicker if you shave it, by the way.

That is not true. It depends how and with that materials you are shaving for it to turn thicker. I use facial hair wax, and when it grows back it will take longer each time to grow, and it will be thinner each time. Eventually with so much pulling off the root, some spots will not have any hair anymore. One thing: never shave with razors! It will definitely become a manly mustache!!

It's doesn't grow back "thicker" or "coarser" as the mother's tale suggests, instead the razor can mis-direct the hair follicle leaving the impression that it is thicker when realistically it's the same amount of hair follicles they are just pointed in different directions.
And yes women should shave their lip, or wax. That's one thing I find extremely un-attractive.

Well...first of all....some women have natuarally blonde upper lip hair so there's really no reason to "shave". Me personally, I have slighly darker upper lip hair and it can be noticeable and somewhat weird and maybe disqusting...so I use Nair to get rid of it...Women who have dark hair is like seeing a women with a mustache

It is your choice. It is a myth that it will grow back heavier than before. It is mostly a Western concept. Women in Europe do not seem to care that much but in the U.S. it seems to be considered non feminine. More common with black haired women than those with light hair and skin.

Well first of all, mustaches are for guys.
You should wax or bleach your facial hair so people don't get the impression that you a male. DON'T SHAVE... it comes out thicker and grows back faster!

Becuz it'll grow back thick like porcupine hair!!
AND you'll have razor bumps!! (yuk...)
If your upper lip looks like "Yosemite-Sam", then, THAT'S what all the ruckus is!!!
If it's lite peach-fuzz, get your upper lip waxed instead of shaving it...

Well I've heard that it can come back worse than before but whether that's true or not I'm not sure. I guess i don't see a problem with it but if it does come back thicker you can just shave it again. or you could try waxing. (ouch!)

Your hair grows back darker, thicker, and more noticable. Your better off plucking, waxing, or bleaching. I personally wax mine by a professional but plucking works well.
