in a vain similar to the Pentacostals in "Jesus Camp" would you call for a congressional investigation? If so, why do you not seem to care that a bunch of loonies in Missouri (?) are training up a Christian army?

Sorry, I'm referring to "Jesus Camp" - what outcry would there be if it were "Atheist Camp"?!

Atheists don't forcibly indoctrinate or target other people's children. That is solely a Christian thing.

Perhaps you should redirect this question to "Some Christians," or "Christians Against Pagans and Atheists." I as a Christian, could CARE LESS about a pagan rally, Atheist rally, "Chronicles of Nardia," or any other thing else for that matter(I actually like The Chronicles of Nardia). Next time, you experience something like that you should have the nerve to approach those people who are out there actively protesting you instead of coming on Y/A complaining about it, because you're not getting anything accomplished here. You people spend too much time on here asking Christians why do you do this, why do you do that. If I get disrespected by an Atheist or Pagan concerning my belief, do you think I'm going to come on Y/A complaining about that. No, I'm going to get that Atheist or that Pagan and stop THEM RIGHT THERE in their tracks. Coming on Y/A will accomplish ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Because this really isnt a question but more of an insult to all Christians, because you are associating all Christians with these protests, and I for one, has never done such a thing. There's too many real problems to worry about, to worry about things that you cant change. Protesting NEVER changes anything when concerning love and beliefs. All protesting does is make them more of what they are, and causes them to have a negative view of the protester (which is probably why you wrote this). However, I apologize on behalf of the Christians who may have offended you. But ALOT of Christians think they have to shove Jesus Christ down your throat when Jesus NEVER tells us to do such things. But Please, stop the train in its tracks, dont let it run you over and then go complaining to other trains and accusing them for something one train did. Because there are alot of trains carrying the same name, who would have politey stopped when they saw you on the tracks. Get my drift?

Lol, funny how many of the fundamentalists believe that learning about evolution is indoctrination. As if learning about the world and evidence for natural processes were a form of coercion. What insanity.

Jesus camp was a truly frightening experience. The group messed with children's psychological development to get them to believe in the literal bible, without questioning or learning about other points of view. The worst line: "Harry potter would have been put to death." There is no need in the modern world for that kind of ignorance and oppression.

Sorry to bump this thread but: To the pair of reality deniers who answered this question, PUBLIC SCHOOLS AREN'T TEACHING THAT THERE ISN'T A GOD. Have you got that?

And yes if it was similar to 'Jesus Camp' with people raising an 'atheist army' of kids, a congressional investigation would almost certainly take place and with good reason.

I thought it was Wyoming?

Anyway, "Jesus Camp" is disturbing, yes, I totally agree. However, are they encouraging violence? No, not really. Since they're not, they have freedom of speech.

In that vein, I would have no issue with it if it was atheists, or Muslims, or Buddhists, or Wiccans, or WHATEVER. Parents have the right to raise their children however they want.

I went to Christian camp as a teenager. I survived. So will they.

Post the link, my friend! I'm interested in this christian army in Missourah...

... anyway, indoctrinating children into Al Queda, The People's Temple, Atheism, or Christianity... is just plain wrong. Jesus Camp was a horror story...

Funny, we have video of all of the above... except the atheists...

I saw Jesus Camp and found it very disturbing. If we atheists talked like the people in that movie I think we would be in serious trouble.
