sure they can believe in both if they have an open mind and are not indoctinated into ONE faith.

I accept they were both real people. whether they could do what is said is another story. I cannot say yes or no.

However i do not think that Christians think all else are going to hell, only extremist and zealouts think that. Most moderate Christians are laid back and believe that the judging of other people should be done by god and not mankind.

so those that say that are usually extremist or kids. ive gotten used to it.

trust me it is not only Christian extremist that can be that way, it can be of ANY faith or non faith and are still extreme and mean, so ones FAITh and RELIGIOn have nothing to do with how they talk or treat other people in my opinion. That was Mom and Dads job as they grew up to have descent respect and courtesy to othes whether they agree or not.

MOST do. We only hear from extremist because moderates either do not answer to avoid a fight or want to part of it. they believe as I said that God makes the judgments no humans.

Hope that helps.

I have been a Christian for most of my life. I have belonged to several Christian denominations and I find there are good people in all however some denominations appear to take the approach that if you don't know Christ and worship Him as I do then you are lost and will never taste the sweetness of heaven.

I am now a Catholic. One of the reasons I became a part of this Church is because they are not as condemning as many who point their fingers at others deciding who will go to hell and who will not. We do have respect for other religions outside of Christianity.

I do believe that Jesus is the Son of God and salvation must come through Him but I'm not as sure as other Christians that it will exclude everyone who does not call themselves "Christian". I do believe that Christ can be found outside of the Church but, in the end, all of us will be brothers and sisters because of who He is and what His sacrifice truly means. I think there will be some eye opening discoveries in eternity for all of us and most of us will learn that we were pretty ignorant about the "things of God" while here on earth. We will bow our heads in shame and ask for forgiveness for the way we treated God's people who weren't known as Christian. Lord have mercy!!!

Most Christians do not believe people of other faiths are going to hell. The extremists just have the loudest voice but that doesn't mean they comprise the majority. Moderate Christians just don't speak up nor do they care to. It's the Right Wing, Bible thumping Born Agains and Christians from southern states that espouse these beliefs but they don't comprise the majority.

"No Man Goes To The Father Except By Me" That Me does not literrally mean Jesus Christ, the singular entity. By Me can refer to what Jesus stood for and his teachings. The "Me" can refer to the idea of a higher power that espouses charity, love, and forgiveness. It does not have to mean that you have to wear a cross and attend church. Evangelicals interpret the Bible literally without giving much thought to its context or meaning.

Also remember that the Bible was written by MAN. It may have been "inspired" by God but it was physically transcribed by human beings. Some of them were more influential like Paul who never met Christ but was "blinded by a vision in the desert through the grace of the Lord" aka schizophrenic with conversion disorder(psychologically making oneself blind; it happens, I've seen patients with this disorder. Paul (formerly Saul) wrote most of the rules governing Christian conduct and thus many beliefs are based on the writings of schizophrenic who was sufferring from auditory and visual hallucinations. Evangelicals heavily base their teachings on the work of Paul. Talk to any evangelical about Paul and you will see my point.

Most do, I do not but then again, through a close study of the bible, I don't believe that the doctrine of eternal torment of the wicked is biblical. The bible also says that in the last days God will work in the hearts of all men to bring them to salvation, not just Christians.

Even the Catholic Church does NOT teach that non-sense. The Catholic Church does proclaim itself the one true Church, but also teaches that one must follow their conscience in these matters. Follow your conscience honestly and sincerely and you will not go to hell; regardless, of your religion. However, one should try to acquire an educated conscience. Deliberate stupidity is a sin.

I think almost all of them think that you have to accept the Lord Jesus Christ as your savior - or when you die you'll go to hell. Also - you can ONLY put Jesus in your heart. No praying to the Virgin Mary - or honoring Buddha or any of that.

Sad - isn't it? I don't think that's what Jesus meant at all.

Namaste!!

Not all Christians do.

I believe that if you live a good life, follow the ten commandments, you are good.

I believe that if you are ignorant to Jesus' existence then you are good.

But if you die before you are able to repent the sin of saying that you don't believe in God, then I don't think you'll have much luck. But I honestly don't know, God knows and only he will decide.

John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life; no one comes to the Father but by Me."

God is the Father who is in heaven; without Jesus no one goes to heaven.
