Well, apparently you got a ticket for it. Of course, could be one of those camera tickets, and if they have your license plate number, you either pay the ticket, or give up the person you let drive your vehicle.
Long as the vehicle is registered to you, you are responsible.

Just tell them the truth. If you were never there, then refuse to pay, fight that bugger tooth and nail. But, probably cheaper to give the SOB's the money.

I got a summons once from a city I had never been to. I wrote back saying I'd never been there. I never heard from them again.
