My original last name was Manues. I have looked on many different sites but they show many different variation. Some are kind of similar but not close to the actual spelling.

Through the years, many people changed the spelling of their last names..This was because they couldn't read or write very well, or that the person writing the information couldn't spell the name, or went by the information given to them, and muddled it out the best they could. Don't get discouraged, just try to follow all the leads you can. One of these variations may be where your family tree starts up again.
