The articles states that while she was on medical leave the city's insurer paid her medical bills and provided disability checks. This just goes to prove that this lady and her lawyer are just after money and it has nothing to do with he injury, that happend in January...9 month ago!!!! Absolutely pathetic!

I presume you're talking about the police woman and her lawyer.

The court needs to throw the case our as frivolous, fine the police woman for court costs, and the attorney for taking up the court's time with such nonsense.

The police woman was not out anything. All her medical expenses were covered. She received pay for the time she was off duty.

There is no such thing as "child proof" anything.

GET A FREAKING GRIP...
you can almost be certain that her insurance company is behind using ANY MEANS possible to divert liability.
Many insurance holders are in the position of having insurance to pay for accidents, only to find themselves being part of someone trying to fix blame. Insurance policies often have clauses that force the beneficiary to cooperate in efforts to "recoup" the expenses.

I would hope the officer's co-workers and boss would put pressure on her to drop this lawsuit before the poor family spends too much on legal fees.

This is an embarrassement to police.

I couldn't even finish the article, it makes me sick. If we didn't have "dangerous situations" we would need emergency workers, now would we? That lady... I really want to call her all kinds of things, but nothing fits. Heartless, ungrateful, super-greedy moron? Not harsh enough!

I think she should be lucky she wasn't hurt worse. She chose a dangerous profession, she could have been shot and killed! A knee injury, please. I'm sure they'd find a desk job for her if she would just go back to work.
