I am a 29 year old US citizen with no college degree. I have solid experience in the tech support, barista/coffee bar, and accounting fields. I am looking to relocate to Iceland and would like insight on the best way to go about doing it.

Hope you have a ton of cash.
Iceland is an island that imports almost everything. So expect prices to be astronomical!

The average price of a pint of beer or wine is $30.

I was at Keflavík Naval Air Station back when I was in the navy. Have you ever actually been there? I'm just wondering if you understand what it's like to live there and understand the cost of living.

Contact their embassy in Washington, DC. You'll be able to get all the information you need.

Moving to Iceland

US citizens planning to move to Iceland on the basis of a residence permit from the Directorate for Immigration, can find various information on rules and regulations in that regard on the website of the Directorate of Customs.

The website island.is provides comprehensive information on how to go about moving and other valuable information for those seeking to move to Iceland.

The Embassy can also provide further information.

unless your passport has been blocked by your country or something i mean i have been to Brazil twice, and each time through customs they didnt check a darn thing (the customs officer was literally chatting on his cell phone and waved me by) i would guess a lot of countries are like this but the "big" ones might be a little stricter, just call their consulates--oh and have fun in the world, the traveling life is the best kind!
