@digustin justin,im a big martial arts fan one day i decided i wanted to learn how to swing nunchaku's like bruce lee.I bought a set and practiced the over the shoulder technique everyday untill i perfected it.Then i started trying new techniques the only help i had was some of the moves that bruce lee did in enter the dragon.I practiced everyday for 7 years teaching myself new techniques then i decided to take up karate.my instructor just happened to be an advanced nunchaku practitioner so i showed him what i could do and he was blow away at what i had learned by myself and told me i was very tallented and taught me a few moves i didnt learn myself and the rest is history.Try it somtime but remember go slow at first you dont want to hit yourself in the head once you learn the technique you never forget its like riding a bike.

I can write novels to publishing standard (self taught... 19 years), take photographs to professional standard (self taught... 18 years). I was utterly crap at both when I started. I am attempting to learn Samurai sword skills at the moment, so I am curious as to how you managed to teach yourself nunchuckas without a tutor.

EDIT: Thanks, very interesting. I guess it can be done!

I taught myself how to do hand built pottery and fire a kiln. I taught myself finger style guitar...I write Gospel songs,,,some have been recorded....I know how to draw and paint and I am pretty good at sewing. I know how to do crafts and can usually come up with something from nothing....LOL....I also taught myself the computer, back when we were struggling on how in the world to get a pic on our auction on eBay....1998....I started to teach my self woodworking, which fascinates me,,but I am chicken at sharp blades,,,....i also know how to do gardening of a sort,,not inside plants so much.

I guess this is a legitimate question, considering our Father was pretty creative... a potter, he made us from clay.. and a Carpenter....oh, yes, and he was a cook..remember the fish by the Sea....a gardener,,he made the Garden of Eden..

I have been playing chess since I was three. I have never played in competition but did play and beat the two best adult players in the county simultaneously when I was nine, on a local television programme. Strange thing is that I don't know where I learnt to play.

For an entirely self-taught guitar player who has never had a single lesson and has played with very few people throughout his life, I am pretty good.

i am an indigo (child psychic come on this earth to help people with the changes coming) its fun to use sometimes because you will have good visions of being someone u likes girlfriend and it usually happens. But sometimes i get these horrible things, like a guy in one of my classes dying, when he died the next day, and a guy having a heart attack, when he had it 6 months later. but my fave thing is spirit guides, i have three! one of them is french and her name is mina, one of them is native american woman, and other is a guy im still learning about. I also get to astro travel every once in a while. pretty fun, but i have to be responsible and muture with it always.

I've trained to use nunchakus to, not to an "advanced" level, and I had insructions. But I learned how to make chain mail by myself, and have a shirt and hood=)

Natural, self taught talent for photography. Have been offered money for some pictures I have taken and have always refused payment! I just enjoy it.
