False,Davis is an university town, you are supposed to study, not for party.
Davis is so close to Sacramento and bay area, so close to lake tahoe, and yosemite national park. So you can relax sometime.

Davis is a "smallish" town west of Sacramento, and it's in a more rural setting than you would be used to in SoCal. UC Davis is more known as a school for agricultural studies, but since you live in SoCal I would suggest that you give it a try. The change of scenery, and pace of life might be something you find very refreshing. You would enjoy a life style there that would help to make you a more enriched, knowledgeable and well rounded person. If you feel the need to "party" once in a while, Sacramento, and the San Francisco bay area are just a short drive away.
Here's an idea. Davis is just an 8 hour drive away. Go up some Friday, spend Saturday looking around, and come back on Sunday. All it would cost is a couple tanks of gas.

If you are an outdoorsy kind of person, this is absolutely false. If you are looking for urban style nightlife...Davis is not the place for you.
