The cards only show you what the most probable outcome is if you continue on the course you are on. You have the free will and ability to make choices to attain or change that outcome.

There has always been the debate on whether life is pre destined or if free will is in control. I kind of like to think it is a little of both, like using a road map on a cross country road trip of life. The roads are all there, laid out before us, but we choose the those we wish to take. Only if we are in total control of a situation can we really predict what is going to happen, and that is seldom the case.
But this is where tarot can have an influence as it gives us different perspectives on an issue and therefore allows us to make decisions based on the information suggested in the cards. It empowers us by giving us options.

Tarot has no "written in stone" prediction power. YOU chose the cards. They are read to show you trends and influences that are pertinent to your life. You have the option of ignoring them or not. "Predictions" merely indicate a trend toward a certain end that you have the ability to influence by yourself, should you choose to do so. Is it vague? Yes, because you will find within yourself the situation that the cards are referring to. They simply bring to your consciousness things over which you hold the power to alter to achieve an outcome. You may not always like what you hear but you need to hear it none the less. In other words, the message motivates you to address issues in your life that you may need to attend to.

every prediction is somewhat like a self-fulfilling prophecy
if u predict ur going to fail a test - u'll unconsciously do things that will make it happen

Divination only shows what the MOST LIKELY outcome of a situation will be. By knowing that information, you have the ability to change it.

self-prophecy. She tells you what you want to hear, and you take it to mean something relevant to you. If you listen with a critical ear, you notice all of these predictions are very vague.

i think they are self prophecies.
I think you could believe whatever you want, in reality I think most of the answers in life have to come from within our ownselves and experiences.

Neither. They can become self-FULFILLING prophecies if you change your actions to fit them, but they have no predictive power of their own.

I think it's what you want to hear when you talk to them. They hardly ever give any solid advice, or tell you specifics. they are vague. Even I can tell you that in order for you to have the things in life you want, you must begin to look inside yourself. be truthful and the truth will come to you.

There are demonic spirits who are invisible and work for the devil; they roam the earth and they take in what they see and hear. Then when people seek means of unknown knowledge through any means besides God, the demonic spirits can come in and reveal the things they have seen. They have one goal in mind; that a person seeks them and the devil and not God. God is our answer to all things no matter what. God is pure, and is only out for our good and not for our harm. These demonic spirits are out to do us harm through spiritual death and eternity in hell. These are false gods, with one goal, our destruction.
