Batgirl2 I do not hate Christians AT ALL! we are all different,that is what makes it all the more interesting to ask questions and learn what makes another person tick! in the end we live together in a mutual understanding and compassion! my question was a real intrest of mine !if my question offended you then I am sorry !

It's certainly NOT "terrible" to be anything. (allowing me the use of my own perspective here) God has given you the gift of free will. He expects YOU to use it and NOT blindly follow without making your own decisions. Your decisions ONLY have value when YOU are the one making the decisions.
Now, at THIS particular moment in the stream of your life, if you are "atheist" then I pray that it's YOUR decision. However, at the same time, I *do* pray that you will come to know the love and mercy of the one true God, and salvation of the eternal soul thru His Son, Jesus. BUT (being perfectly clear on this point) whether or not YOU come to that point and that decision is up to YOUR free will and the timing of the Holy Spirit.
Simply stated, "been there, done that" means a lot to me. It means that I have known what it's like to have people pressuring me to make decisions that were NOT right for me at the time. There's NOTHING wrong or "terrible" about that!
REJOICE in the fact that YOU are making your own decisions. Be happy with where you are at this moment in your life. And, continue to keep your mind and your heart open to "other" ideas that may influence future decisions.

It is not terrible. It is just a terribly lonely way to live--never knowing how empowering it is to know that someone loves you totally unconditionally. It is not terrible. It is just a terribly sad way to live your life, never knowing how empowering it is to feel the comfort of the Holy Spirit and be able to know you will be sustained through the greatest sorrow or the greatest trial and find a true joy in life when you have come through the fire. It is not terrible. It is just a terribly grievious burden to my heavenly Father's heart to know how much has been sacrificed to keep His family entact and how few choose to come Home. He would have done exactly the same thing for one single human being. Yours is an extremely honest question and there are extremely honest answers here if you can look through all the hoopla!!

The kinds of Christians who hate, are, in the first place, not real Christians at all. Secondly, they hate themselves and so project their hatred onto an easy, objectified target. Thirdly, I suspect there are just as may atheists who hate themselves as venomously as well. And these are the ones, from both sides, who conduct all the disrespectful and crap-filled, time wasting childishness on this forum.

I would first find out why someone is an Atheist. They weren't born that way, but perhaps something may have happened that has repelled them away from ever believing that there really is a God. It helps to understand where they are coming from.

1. It is Lonely
2. It is unfullfilling
3. You have no Joy (moments of happy is not Joy)
4. You have no peace (I"m taking about peace you can have in a stormy situation when there is no outside reason for it)
5. You are missing out on walking in partnership with Jesus to fullfill your calling and your destiny in him
6. There is a spot in your soul-spirit-heart whatever you want to call it that only God can adequately fill.
7. When you face Jesus you will be grieved how much you missed out on.

Because the truth will set you free. I understand that just as much as I believe there is a god, that atheists believe there is not. I understand that we all have freewill. But for the christian, if we are wrong, then who have we hurt? We will just die and that will be it. But for the atheist, if they are wrong, and if there is a heaven and hell, then you have hurt yourself. And the other thing is, if the christians are right, and the atheists are wrong, and the atheists had heard the gospel, and chose not to believe, that will be one of your torments. To realize that you did know, but chose not to believe. Do I think that I am better than you? Absolutely not! It's just that God does not desire for any to perish, and neither do I!

Who else would create such beautiful art, and the way humans are formed. The human body is unique in its own way. TO not think that the TRUE God Almighty Doesnt exist is hideous, that is what I personally think. I guess the monkeys are as smart as humans ,they just havent comprehend it yet. RIGHT?

Because you are missing out on so much in this life and risk losing so much after this life. If Christians are wrong, then we haven't lost much, but if Atheists are wrong, then you risk spending eternity in hell and that is what would be so terrible.

Because you don't know my best friend - He's really cool and He loves you tons!!!
Also, because my best friend is throwing the best party ever (He's been preparing for over 2000 years!) and my atheist friends (yes I do have some) won't be there. It won't be the same without them.
