Hi I have a 27" Lexsor LCD TV and the picture is fine most of the time but if the camera pans across the screen or say if a car is moving across the screen or end credits to a programme are moving up the screen or news ticker is scrolling across the bottom of the screen well instead of all being smooth as it looks on a conventional CRT screen on my LCD TV it all jerks along not smoothly - its quite annoying.
I have tried adjusting all settings but nothing works and I have seen another one of the same make on show in the electrical store and it does the same thing so its not just a fault on my set so I wonder what causes this does anyone know?
Thanks,
Andy.

You're probably watching an ANALOG TV channel....those channels require the MOST Video processing and that can really slow down the video processor.....

Try HD signals and if they also are jerky, then the video processor just cannot process ANY signal fast enough....
A news ticker shouldn't make it jerk, that's really not fast video.

If I were you and the TV has less than 15 days since you purchased it, I would UPGRADE to a better brand/model....

Yes, that where we are, LCD is quite new technology and will not be as good as a CRT (glass tube) TV. Yet,
wait around 3 years and the technology will improve.

Though my LCD 22" wide screen PC monitor is good, no jumping ( 5ms responce time) though the white details are a little washed out., New LCD have responce time as quick as 3ms.

It is probably the response time. (ms). If you buy a TV with 8 (ms) or less response time, the effect is hardly noticable to the average viewer.

Pick a better brand, I recommend Sharp or Samsung for value for money vs good picture.

Unfortunately, this is a common problem with cheap LCD televisions, such as those from Lexsor.

Due to poor quality components, they start to struggle with fast moving scenes, dark scenes, etc. You will need to invest in a better quality television if you really want to enjoy what you watch.

Remember, "Buy cheap, buy twice".

This can happen if you have a slow response time (ms) on your LCD display. The faster the response time, the smoother the picture.

go and buy a large, high def plasma (panasonic is good!!, they are way better that LCD screens!!!!!!!!!)

plasmas have a faster response time, leading to a clearer, non blurred picture. also because the technology is newer they (the tv itself) can focus on sharpening up picture quality, rather than trying to actually get a picture up on the screen (your typical LCD screen).

plasmas have deeper black levels aswell, and the later versions on plasma tvs (panasonic VIERA for instance) are not as supseptable to burn-in as older models are!!

i strongly recommend you getting a plasma when your LCD tv dies, or you just get sick of it!!!! (ps. get a 1080P plasma)!!

hope this helped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

pps. i myself are looking at the 58" full HD (1080P) plasma set from panasonic!!!!!!!

in case you desire a flat panel 32" or under, then you definitely do no longer could desire to get into the plasma vs. liquid crystal show debate. Small flat panels (under 37") are all liquid crystal show's. yet to respond to your question on a extra direct manor, I dont think of your going to locate everybody who is familiar with there television's that should flow on the cord and say one is extra advantageous than the different. they are the two solid for diff motives. They the two make a image thoroughly diff and the have diff professional's and con's yet one is not extra advantageous than the different. as an occasion. liquid crystal show's regularly occurring have a slower refresh fee so quickly shifting gadgets can practice ghosting, liquid crystal show's take in easy so as that they paintings properly in a bright room (additionally they are extra certainly bright). Plasma's practice plenty extra advantageous black stages and are dont burn out guy or woman pixles like liquid crystal show, yet loose brightness over the years (approximately 60K on the 0.5 existence). fortunately for you, the dimensions you desire you have purely liquid crystal show's to % between so which you dint could desire to examine Tech. solid luck. P.s- Zack Quinn is erroneous Plasma's are typicly inexpensive in keeping with inch. in the event that they seem extra costly its because of the fact they are larger. flow right into a television shop and seem for your self. Divide fee by using inch. P.p.s - the above comments are genuine yet no longer plenty to fret approximately. Plasma's shouldnt exceed a 40 5 degree perspective and frozen gadgets can burn in (yet its take days no longer hours of one forzen photograph, to burn in) its confusing to locate something which will survive (no longer flow to show saver or turn off after 40 5 min) that long. you are able to burn in a CRT tube additionally yet you in no way right here of it occurring because of the fact it is so confusing to do. do no longer worry approximately it.
