Not to say atheists and christians in particular- every religion can answer as to their religion to anyone else.
Also, when I say "rights," I'm excluding religion. I'm basically asking if you'd let religion get in the way of basic rights of a person
Personally, I would fight for anyone's rights- as a christian, God gave them a life- they deserve to live it with rights. as a person, every human should be of the same stantards of equality

in reponse to A-Theist- i'm not trying to throw eveyrone into a group. it just seems like it's either "burn in hell" or "screw yourself and your fantasies"

Yes I would. Because if I don't, and their rights are taken away, mine will be too - and this has already happened to us many times around the world. I'm Jewish.

Suggesting that an atheist should fight for "Christian's rights" is about like suggesting that we should be fighting for "Neanderthals' rights." Fighting for a lost cause is sheer folly. Perhaps Christianity shall survive the next few centuries particularly in the third world where illiteracy and poverty are the norm, but in the wealthier, well-educated "first world" nation, Christianity is a dying beast doomed to extinction.

I'd fight for their rights of personal freedom, to worship, to assemble, whatever.
I'm an atheist but I belief everyone has the right to worship whatever the hell they want. I think people should be allow to worship the devil, I think people should be able to put up Nazi flags - I don't think its tasteful but I don't believe good taste should necessarily be forced on people. I think people should be able to criticise their governments and burn flags.
Freedom is important, but so is freedom from religion. Too often a minority who aren't part of the main religion or orthodox view end up being persecuted.

Yes, I would. Regardless of religious belief we all share the fact that we are humans currently living here in this world. This no reason for a set of beliefs on something that probably no one is exactly right about anyway get in the way of that connection.

First they came for the Communists,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I wasn’t a Jew.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn’t speak up,
because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
and by that time there was no one
left to speak up for me.

Yes, I would fight for an Atheist's rights. The rights of all people should be respected.

I've done so countless times, and I'm quite sure that quite a few Christians would do the same for me - and of course already have.
Here's an example, from yesterday, when I stood up for the Catholics:

I'm an atheist, but I would fight for the rights of religious people to practice their faith. So long as that practice didn't infringe on the rights of others. I'm for freedom of religion and freedom from religion.

My dad fought for everyone in the US's rights. Then he came back only to have overzealous christians step all over his right not to believe in their god.
I am all for everyone's rights as long as they don't impede on my rights. For example, you have the freedom of religion and I have the same freedom, so don't impose your religion on me, cuz if I wanted it I'd already have it.

I fight for rights were I see them being crushed. I even supported a student's right to start a faith based club in the public school I work at.
