An atheist asked: "CHRISTIANS, why doesn't God like Kiwis (the birds)? I mean come on, he gave them wings but then them so small that they couldn't even fly..."
My answer was: "Why are you asking Christians? Why not Jews, or Muslims? Don't you think they have an opinion on this? Well, tell the truth: You're just an anti-Christian bigot who wants to agitate Christians. You don't give a rats a** about Kiwis..."
So, the atheist added this detail: "Actually, Catholic Crusader, you were right until you said I didn't care about Kiwis..."
There it is. Comdemned out of her own mouth. Don't believe me? Here is the link: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AkJ5OpHMto9WfiiI6tiMOMHsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20071010144413AAKbHoD&show=7#profile-info-KrhPNa4Saa
So, now you see why we get upset at atheists and other agitators so often. I get thumbs down for my hard hitting respones, when it turns out that I was RIGHT ON THE MONEY.
Well? Comments? Anyone care to try and whitewash this one

I have to agree with you, in that, some questions are just meant to agitate Christians.
If someone were to deny this, they either haven't been here long enough or are just bluffing!

So where's the surprise here? I have been a Christian for many years now and I have yet to see a committed nonbeliever who was genuinely objective. Of course, I'm not objective either, though I try to be fair with anyone's opinion. The truth is, neutrality regarding God in general and Jesus in particular is impossible. Jesus Himself taught us so. You cannot serve two masters. You will love one and hate the other. I admonish you to avoid the predictable disappointment of expecting nonbelievers to rise above their own passion for absolute spiritual autonomy. It won't happen. Or if it does, it suggests the Holy Spirit is moving mountains we can't see. Augustine called it the Antithesis, the City of God versus the City of Man. The two sets of people can barely communicate with one another because they start from such radically different irreducible beliefs. Even the Scripture teaches that only God can move someone from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light. Our main task therefore is not to whine at them over their hostility towards us. Our task is to keep on speaking the Gospel into the “valley of dry bones,” and wait expectantly for God to raise the spiritually dead. He can do this, because He has already done it for each of us who believe. Be at peace. God is in control, and Jesus will build His church. You can count on it.

Condemned? Did you ever stop to wonder why people do that to "Christians" in general? It couldn't be because people like you are constantly pointing fingers at everyone and maybe that question was used to point some of that out... Even if it wasn't used to point that out... You did an excellent job of showing people that you feel it's your job to point out everything wrong with everyone else.
As for getting thumbs down... Who cares? It's like you're going to win anything here lol I find these types of rants to be rather childish... especially when you do it over and over again as if something actually depends on You playing moderator here.
As for getting upset with others, you've obviously missed the reasons they get upset with Christians... otherwise you would be a bit more understanding and less generalizing.

Hey, I know. It's hard. The last acceptable prejudice is against Christians. But let's try to be charitable anyway. I've noticed lately that Christians have been losing their tempers in these arguments and resorted to calling names. Do we really need to sink so low to make our point? Seems to me that we will be more effective if we are polite and kind. If you start being rude then people just stop listening. Your charity will bring these people closer to God but by being rude you just drive them further away.
God bless you.

K...well you are on your own on this one...I really do not care what this person says or does. I have the advantage of going to the next question...I simply do not post anything, just let it go...I would rather fight the battle I'm going to win than waste my energy to dumb down to this type of question.
God speed your spiritual journey...

Anyone who has ever spent 5 mins looking through the R&S section sees that it is the Christian group (not the jewish or muslim) that consistantly purport any life on this planet is directly attributed to the christian god.

As usual, your catholicism is showing.
We are supposed to pray for these people that are lost. No matter how rude they get, they speak from ignorance, and need prayer. What kind of a Christian example are you setting? You sound worse than him. Where is the love of Christ in you?
His question was ridiculous, and I would not have even clicked on it to answer it, as it tells us in Titus 3:9 - "But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain."
Try to live and love as Christ taught us.

I rather expected CJ to have some input here, maybe he's locked back up in the attic, banging his head on the rafters and sticking spiders up his nose. Anyway, I wouldn't really be bothered about it all. Axe-grinding is just axe-grinding after all. I think it was more aimed at humour myself.

I can't speak for no one, but myself. I am an atheist, but I respect other's beliefs. I try to practice tolerance, and I definitely think I am no better than anyone else.
