Uh, where to start...
1. The Iroquois did not have a written text. Stories were passed down orally.
2. The Iroquois were in the East. Bison were in the West.
3. Your picture is clearly that of a member of a western tribe, not a member of the Iroquois confederacy.

While I certainly respect your beliefs, keep in mind almost all religions and cultures tell of an Apocalypse that will bring an end to mankind.
The ability to act against climate change and to become much more environmentally responsible and aware is still within our grasp.
I can't imagine the Iroquois people not appreciating great conservation efforts and respect of the natural world by all races.

The essence of the Great Iroquois teaching is respect for the Earth, respect for all people and respect for ourselves.
We ignored that because we think we are "smart" and "we know everything", surprise, surprise, we have much to learn and now the lesson will be more expensive, more painful and some people will "never get it!"
Maybe, just maybe, we are not so smart after all.

I think we need to understand what science is. The point of science is to experiment and prove what might be an opinion and make it into a fact. of course we can claim that it was written in an historical text but there has to be some solid proof to believe that right?

Yeah well I'm Cherokee and sitting on this computer just as you are doing using electricity making carbon dioxide . The great spirit is all of our God they just have different names for him and the great spirit told all man of the world different things we just have to put them all together for the answer like a great puzzle so that man will unite as one as he intended us to be before Babylon. As a son of the great spirit you of all people should realize that we are all brothers and sisters.
EDIT: LOL I love how people use the word " they " sounds like " THEY " are not one of "US " and " THEY " don't make carbon dioxide wickedness . How vain are " THEY " "WE are all going to have to answer to the Great Spirit not just "THEM"

Well, its like this. When the Europeans first came to North America, the native Americans welcomed them--even helped themg get started, sold them Manhattan Island, etc.
A lot of people figure if native Americans were dumb enough to let low-lifes like that in, they must not be too bright--so they don't take such predictions very seriously.

One of the reasons could be that we don't wanna look STUPID..
It's been predicted in the bible also...why do we continue to ignore this? I don't know...
I for one believe that global warming isn't the only thing that's been going on for quite some time now.

I beg to differ. How arrogant are we to assume we can dig up and burn billions of tons coal without altering the balance of nature.
