I really doubt its gas bubbles, i just dont see how that makes sense, I do think that it is just the friction between the joints when they become inflammed but what the hell do I know im not a boneologist, its not bad for you really, bruce lee cracked his knuckles all the time and he lived to a ripe old age of like 32

people say its bad, that it will cause arthritis later in life, but im pretty sure they proved that to be a myth. its just annoying to a lot of people, and might make you fingers look a little weird. mine look weird, but i dont know if thats from cracking them a lot or from having them broken and/or stubbed a whole lot. because i do both.
