She is panicking to the point of crying because she has got to stay with inlaws over xmas, she is worried about the loud rumblings of her stomache and smelly diarrhoea she has. She says everyone sits for the whole day quietly chatting and drinking tea.
What can she do?

she can ask her doctor for Bentyl....it is not habit forming and works wonders for my IBS

Even though having meds is a good opition. take it from someone who has similar problems. If I were her and would talk to my husband about getting a hotel or anything to make her feel more comfortable. I will only stay at a hotel if going to see someone except my parents because of bathroom issues. I know it sucks for her but maybe they can get a hotel close to her inlaws so she can leave if she feels the need to go...

Does she have a GI doc that can help her? There are a variety of meds one could prescribe for her.
