I have a friends Mother who is 80 plus years of age, and she has been diagnosed with sublaxation of three of her cervical vertbrae.
Does she have any choices besides surgery? If so what? Also what are the outcomes of this surgery?

Sublaxation of the Cervical Vertebrae is a misalignment problem in part due to poor posture unless the female in question has a underlying medical problem. In many forms of Arthritis the vertebrae can fuse, which will bring about stability. Some people will seek out a Chiropractor, but much depends on the health of the person, underlying medical history, are they a fit 80+ or unhealthy 80+. I am afraid you have not given us much detail to go on, but surgery is a big step if you are talking about C1 vertebra?
