Nope, thats not harsh at all. Wait until you get into the real world, then I am sure you will find out what harsh is.

I don't think that is harsh. Asking someone for an answer is called "cheating". Your teacher has a right to give you zero, because you did something that is not tolerated. This is a big issue especially in college or in university. If you are caught cheating the teacher won't take any excuses, and just ask you to leave the room. Its the reality!

Sorry I don't think that is harsh. In almost all schools there is a zero tolerance on cheating. And in college they kick you out of class.. So I guess getting a zero is a good warning.

uhhh no!
Do your own test! What were you thinking trying to get answers from someone else on a test?
Not harsh at all! You know in college they can suspend you or possibly kick you out for that! Now that is harsh!

Not really, they typically tell you ahead of time, "don't talk, or I'm taking the test" or that he'll consider all talking to be cheating.
So no, whether he told you or not, It's not harsh, if there's ever been a case of cheating, yours is such an incident.

I guess it's harsh, but he's just trying to teach you that cheating is not the way to go. You'll face many teachers like that, and be sure to know all their rules, so you don't break them. Good luck!

If you asked that question during the test, then no he isn't harsh. You don't ask for help during a test.

is your teacher testing your ability to answer the question or your classmates ability to answer the question? testing is not a punishment is a way to determine what you know...
