if you are a shelley duncan fan.. or not answer this i want to know what other people think of him. i think he is a great spark the yankees lineup for 08 and is young and brings talent he is very enthusiastic and has become one of my favorite players also what do you think the lineup next year will look like?

I love Shelley Duncan I think he brings energy into the dugout and wakes people up that are boring. He is enthusiastic and definetely helps the Yankees alot!

Shelley Duncan is a lesser version of Shane Spencer.
He takes up too much room on the roster.
If he is on the roster next year, the Yanks have problems.

First of all, Shelley Duncan is not "young" - he's a 27-year-old journeyman who happened to hit a little hot streak when first called up this season. If he was as talented as you seem to believe, something tells me he would've been in the majors before the 2007 season.
Alex Rios had his breakout season in 2006, when he was 25 and in his third full season. And please don't tell me that you believe Duncan really had a breakout season - the guy had 74 at-bats!

I think Shelly has a great father (Dave) and younger brother (Chris)! Both, by the way, are currently employed by they Cardinals and hopefully will remains so.
