Resources are not evenly distributed, that's the way of the Earth and has nothing to do with the inhabitants.
This is why, historically, populations migrated - they followed herds and weather in search of land to farm and pastures on which to graze their animals.
Distributing foodstuffs to populations outside of zones in which the land can sustain them isn't as easy as you might think - food expires - and you can't feed the world with Twinkies, m'dear.

Well let's not forget that there are countries in the world that won't take help from others. For example, there is rampant undernourishment happening in North Korea, but their dictator won't allow outsiders in to help. There are also countries that are so politically unstable that any help sent is confiscated by warlords and bandits and isn't distributed to the people. Most industrialized nations give lots of money to help the underprivileged, it's not necessarily their fault that the help doesn't get to those who need it.

What I hate is that certain countries promote eating contests!!! It disgusts me. So many starving people and people shove 30 hot dogs down their throat for "sport". I've been to Africa personally and seen the poverty firsthand. All those "athletes" should make a trip there! Bet they'd view their "job" a little differently!

It's because not everyone can pay for the food. Food isn't free. I know that seems harsh, but it's reality.

The rich countires are inchage. Instead of wasting their money making weapons they should spend it on helping poor people.
