A glass of water is your first line of defense. It fights fatigue. Then once and hour do a set of jumping jacks. They get the blood and oxygen moving which stimulates the brain. You will stay awake and retain more of what you are reading.

Iv'e gotten far behind in my homework couple times too many.. And ive stayed up ENTIRE nights till school starts to finish a crapload.. Personally i dont think there is a drink that can keep you awake, i think you just have to not be tired a certain night. Just find a night where you can't fall asleep then.. get up, and work. But also a RockStar or something will be good to use on one of these nights.. but i dont think there is a "miracle stay-awake drink.." OR maby i just have insomnia :D

Since you want to study, something that forces you to stay awake isn't enough. Take a little nap and your brain will be in much better shape to soak in those facts you study! A couple hours of studying with a clear sharp brain is worth more than 6 hours when you're brain is so tired you can't think straight!

Once in a while stand up and stretch, look around the whole room. Make sure there are lots of plants around to keep the oxygen levels high. Your brain works better with more oxygen.
I'm trying to do my part by encouraging everyone to have at least one live plant in each room, especially if it's air conditioned. If you want to know the best plants? Please use NASA's Clean Air Plant Study as a guide. It can be found at: http://www.zone10.com/tech/NASA/Fyh.htm
Good luck, I hope this will help you do well on your tests.

Your best bet is to plan your studies in small doses, no more than around 40mins a time for each subject. Also, have a proper sleep routine and diet. Staying up can be counter productive anyway.

Drink a glass of ice tea with glass full of ice, then get a pale full of water, put your two feet inside the pale while you are sitting and reading. That will keep you awake. Believe me, done that...

Sleep! Even if it's when you get home from school. Surely things haven't changed that much since I was in school (grad '76,lol).
Take your alarm clock, set it for a power nap!
Wake up refreshed, clear headed from the day, teacher's voice there when you need total recall.
Try it, what can you lose? Sleep?
Show this to your teacher and said somebody'smother told me this, her kids did it, she told them that if they couldn't finish their homework and get it in on time, you're going to bed too late and that it worked for her.
Some kids/adults just get too tired from school and need a break,a power nap works!
Leave the caffiene alone, that's keeping you awake at night so you don't get enough sleep to make it through the day and night too!

You would probably be better to have a short nap between studying. Maybe have an hours sleep and set alarm to waken you. Have a hot drink (anyone, doesn't matter) and get back to your studying

Quorter a fresh lemon and bite into it and suck on it until you feel tired. After that drink a cup of coffee. The next time you feel tired suck on one more lemon wedge. Now the next time you feel tired give it up and get to bed. Tomorro is another day.
