One of my good friends is getting married in November and I am throwing her a Bachelorette party. I am just afraid to do something too crazy or too clean. I want something middle grownd and every site I go to for games and Ideas are a little to much for my taste. HELP! I know it's a tough one.

Nice to see a person that wants to have a party with some class and not a total tramp-fest.

A comedy club would be a great idea.

Go out to a nice dinner and then afterwards go to a casino (if you have one in the area)

Stay home and just have a slumber party. Play really silly music and dance. Give each other make-overs. Play truth or dare. Just be silly and have fun!

If one of my friends even attempted to hand me an inflatable penis or a penis straw I'd ask her to leave. You are getting married...what does carrying around a penis have to do with that?

It shouldn't be a difficult task but, unfortunately, lately it seems that some brides want to be total wh***s before they are married. Who knows why?! Getting married is supposed to be a wonderful celebration not some sort of sentence that you dread. First thing is to set the tone by not calling it a bachelorette party. Just invite everyone to a "Pre-wedding Girls' Gourmet Event". Check out local cooking schools/restaurants. Many chefs do events like this for a very reasonable cost if you buy the food ingredients! You all pay a set amount and either go to the cooking school, or the chef comes to your house(more expensive), and you all prepare a romantic gourmet dinner, learn techniques and leave with recipes. These are FUN!!!

My friend Jenn's bachelorette party was pretty clean, although I guess we did drink a little more than we should have. We just went to a restaurant and then went dancing at an '80s themed club. But what made it really memorable was we all wore wigs. I love wigs, so I'm thinking of using this at my own party this summer.

For a friend of mine we all went to a comedy club and had a blast!

I had 2 bachelorette parties due to people being unavailable. ONe we went out to eat and then played pool. The other we went out to eat at a place that had karaoke. Both were a lot of fun.

For another friend of mine we went to an adult game place that had arcade games and pool plus a bar, that was also a lot of fun.

The real point is to get together and celebrate her upcoming wedding. There doesn't have to be strippers or kissing strange guys or anything like that.
You could just get together and watch movies have snacks and goof around!

I'm and sure you will have fun!

(PS I hate party games I'd rather just hang out!)

Just get together for one night and have one last night as the girls.

Maybe do a spa or makeover night. Go to the store- WalMart or somewhere- in the beauty section they will have facial masks and foot scrubs and stuff for manicures and pedicures, and usually completely inexpensive. Rent some really good chick flicks that will make you cry- get lots of chocolate(and healthy food in case the bride is on a diet) and just hang out and have a total chick party that would make any guy's head explode. This is completely clean- tons of fun and inexpensive. How often will she be able to just do this when she gets married?

Most importantly be silly and just have fun!

We just threw one for my best girlfriend. It was a Girls' Night In. We had appetizers and drinks and to sit and chat. We did manicures and pedicures (with foot spas) that everyone brought. One of the bridesmaids picked up the manicure sets really inexpensively at Job Lots (don't know if you have them near you). It was really low key.

Also, there were many foods to choose from -- everyone brought something from kiche to cake. The hit of the night was Sangria, but if it's going to be a dry party, you could modify that.

We made sure to all bring something for the "Something Old, Something New" and presented it to the bride that night. It was really sweet. We also passed around a 'bride book' that was a journal that each guest wrote a special message to the bride in.

It was wonderful!

A friend of mine threw one for me. Everyone brought a dish - almost outdoing each other in how good they were, and the table was decorated with a sunflower theme because I was using sunflowers. She had little favors by each plate that were a sunflower notepad and a little yellow bag with chocolate kisses. There was a balloon tied to my chair. Other than that, we just opened gifts and gabbed for a long time! It was great to have no current and future spouses for once and just have a girl gab!! I actually was glad there were no games and the gifts were all the cheaper items from my registry. It was so fun.

If the weather is good, go camping...if you're outdoorsy and if the weather is still good where you live. That's what I would LOVE to do for my Bachelorette party, but I'm getting married in February and it will be cold here.

Maybe find princess themed supplies and use those. Most of the bachlorette stuff will include penises and sexual innuendo's. The princess theme could work, I think, because she can go around wearing a tiara, and a feather boa, or whatever it is she likes! You can choose a nice place to have it like at your house or even TGI Fridays, its more of a family oriented place...

Hope this helps!!!

I recently got married and wasn't in to doing anything too inappropriate. My friends took me to Atlanta for the night and we went out to eat and then to a bar/club. They maid me a silly Bachelorette shirt and I had to wear a veil that had a big ring with a diamond on the top and they safety pinned condoms all over the veil. The only thing they really made me do was to carry around and inflatable penis all night. It was embarrassing, but nothing I couldn't tell my fiance about.
