I noticed that whenever an Atheist posts a thread, and the Atheists answer the question, why do other people who have no relevance to the question in hand have the urge to come in and report the answers or give them bad ratings? It's pointless to argue online. No one is listening.....

I have absolutely no problem with Christians, I didn't even mention them in the question so why is everyone assuming that i'm being hateful or trying to cause an argument? And to JC is the Man, I don't think anyone has a persecution complex, I was just wondering why people, IN GENERAL, have the need to go into a forum where you don't belong and start stuff up, IE TROLLSS! Like the few that have already entered this question. I have absolutely no problem with anyone else's beliefs. If it works for you then good for you. I don't have a problem at all.

And I completely agree with Christy about how people don't need to shove or force beliefs on anyone. It's completely a contradiction of belief to condemn someone for not believing in what they advocate by trashing someones beliefs and then going right around and doing it to someone else. I never have, and never will, promote this kind of ignorance. People do too much assuming and come into a forum making a generalization about me just because I posted a question about Atheists, and by answering my question with intent to slander this forum is just an indirect way of you proving my point.

The same happens to us Christians. And you say we have a persecution complex?

I have never done that, heck I do not have enough points to do that, but I was wandering why every time a Christian ask a question you see bad ratings or that none believers come in and make such dumb remarks. If you do not believe then that is fine with me, you don't wont me shoving Jesus down your throat and I do not wont anyone throwing smart remarks at me because of what they believe. Works both ways around here if you ask me. I will never give a bad rating to a non believer for asking a question, but you better believe I will if they are making dumb remarks when a question is directed to Christians and they want to be childish. For example someone ask for prayer....HELLO DUMMIES this is for believers, there is no reason to go in and make comments like "Your wasting your time, Gods not real" Now how childish is that.

It happens all over Yahoo answers, actually. In fact, it even happens with reviews on Amazon.com. People just like the cheap satisfaction of giving thumbs-down to somebody they don't agree with.

The really funny thing is when someone states a proven fact that others don't like and it gets thumbed down

ha
are you kidding?
how is it atheists by themselves, or atheists in general? you can't judge a religion of people by the few you've met on the interent or in your community.

EDIT
who says everybody shoves their beliefs down people's throats? yes, i share my beliefs, but to force it is another thing that i don't do.

were you judging all christians based on the few that have forced their beliefs to you, or were you just talking about teh people who did try and force their beliefs to you?

What? Sorry, I wasn't listening.

No, I'm just kidding. Are you talking about questions here? If so, the fact is that everybody thumbs everyone else.

i don't pay a whole lot of attention to 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down' ratings...i check out questions that i want to answer and answer them...and i've never been able to figure out who does the reporting, since Y/A doesnt provide that info

My coffee still tastes great. I don't care how many gasping believers want to give me a thumbs down.

And my dog thinks I'm great.

cz religions get easily offended if their beleifs/books are questioned/criticised, they think it's sinful and motivated by satan.....

but you can throw anything at ateist and they'd stay cool, they've got no fictional characters/fairytales to be insulted upon ......

how many for me ???
