I met a guy at a party last weekend, and we had a great time talking, madeout a little bit. He gave me his phone number (i had lost my phone at the time), and so two days later I texted him. He called me kiddo what does that mean? later on he seemed more normal but "hey kiddo" what?

I haven't heard that in awhile, it's an older saying. I don't think he was being mean, probably someone in his family or a friend says that.

I had a guy I dated back in hihg school cal me that a few times. it bugged me a bit and I told him so. He told me he wouldn't call me that anymore and all was fine. After we broke up, I asked him the reason behind it, and he said that it was in part because he was older, and it was also in part of being kind of in control.

It depends on the person really, what they mean by it. It could be his way of saying he just wants to be friends, or it could be his (bad) idea of a pet name.
