You should change the display settings (all the way to the left of the startup menu, towards the top of the list) to automatically reset to the highest available output resolution...this way the system will recognize and automatically adjust itself regardless of what TV it is plugged in to...hope this helps...

The PS3 should change to whatever output it is running on mine does I run it on 1080p at home because I have a sweet TV lol and my little bros TV is 720 and it always goes right back to normal!! I wonder if it was in the settings that it will automatically do it!!

PS3 because of the fact which you will get call of accountability 4 the place you dont kill those with chainsaws and crap(i understand i hate that to). COD4 is only capturing and that i've got faith you may eliminate the gore and blood. additionally the PS3 has rockband blanketed :D i admire ROCKBAND :D

put the ps3 in standby mode, then hold down the "touch" power button for about 10sec. it will automatically reset to the AV cables then you connect the HDMI or Component and do the setup again

Reset it. Press and hold power button unitl it beeps - setting are going to be reset. No need to worry.
