He was mediocre as a driver and watching him in a Nascar video trying to tell us to look at the drivers not the motors when they blowup. Everything the drivers do during a race is recorded on computer. Is Ricky still in the Ice age????? Will someone please ask him if he needs a labotamy.

I can barely stand to listen to the television commentators anymore. Most races I turn the sound off and listen to the radio broadcast. MRN and PRN both have very good coverage. It is sad that you can find out more listening to the radio than watching it on TV.

Frequently they are too busy reading commercial plugs to correctly describe what is happening on the TV!
How many times have you seen a driver (8) run a guy down and pass (24) him only to have the commentator say and now Gordon is making his move forward!? Dude what race are you watching he just got passed! My senile old grandmother good do a better job analyzing the race!

Ricky Craven is a great NASCAR commentator and mind, but then ya got to be over 40 perhaps to appreciate his own career, and just knowledge!

No matter what else Mr. Craven does in his lifetime, he will still be the winner of the absolute best NASCAR race finish of all time.

I have not seen him as a commentator, I've read his nascar columns on yahoo... I always have MRN on with the races when they are on ESPN and ABC....These guys on MRN are so good and they know what they are talking about, its all racing, no junk.
