Well, all metals will have some sort of impurity in them. I would find the nearest welding shop and get aluminum rods for welding.

A lot of doors and windows are made with aluminum frames. If you could find a used door frame or window frame made of metal, then it is more than likely aluminum.

You get what you pay for.

If you want 99.999% pure aluminum, you will have to put down a lot of money because the chemical purification and quality control process is very expensive, like for any other element or compound.

Pure enough?

If you want to buy aluminum that has been made into technically useful alloys and shaped into technically useful rod, bar, wire or sheet form, google "aluminum" and you will get dozens of hits to distributors of technical metals.

I doubt anyone will give more than a spec sized sample of the pure stuff to you for free... but then, nobody will give you much of anything of value for free, either.

The short answer is you can't... at least from any manufactured item or source. All manufactured aluminum products have other metals added for strength, etc. However, a chemical supply company such as Fisher Scientific will have aluminum that is 99.999% pure. Check them out on the web.

Like the others have stated, pure aluminum is quite expensive and I doubt you would find it for free. One source of free aluminum ( not pure ) is from used automotive pistons. Engine rebuilders often toss these. They may also toss cracked/warped aluminum cylinder heads and blocks as well.
