You can put carbon footprints in your search engine and find ways to help with the global warming problem. I list one here but there are others as well that may be just as good.

We can stop global warming by not buying into it's marketing guru's, scientist and politicians!
We've been harped on about Global warming for well over 20 yrs (add to that the ice age scientist predicted would happen in the 70's because of green house gases then it's more like over 30 years). It's time to get over it.
However, I'd like to see the day when cars ran on not only gasoline, but also ethanol, natural gas, batteries, etc. Image a world where you had a choice about what you put in your car. This week might be natural gas, next week you might change it's batteries.
The point is the best way to "save" the planet would be to allow consumers a choice about the fuel they put in their cars. The competition would lower energy prices, increase energy output, and generate new industries and jobs.
Don't count on politicians to solve the problem, taxes on gasoline provide good sources of revenue for local, state and federal governments. And don't count on the scientist to solve the problem, if they did, they'ld be out of a job or find more problems to tackle to generate funding.

I would like to point out that humans, in their infestimal arrogance, tend to think that their world is stable because it's big and old and it has them sitting on it. It isn't. The Earth goes through cycles of heating and cooling, according to the geological records as we are able to read them. Do I think that humans can "stop" global warming? No, and I don't think we should try. Note that I didn't say we should not be concerned for our environment. I am very concerned about it, and I do believe that chemicals are harmful in large amounts, and one should try not to kill off entire species for the sole reason that they play a role in growth and decay, which are of course key parts of life.
One person leaving the hairspray on the dresser isn't going to change the world to any measurble percentage. Many people opting for all-around healthier choices will (such as leaving the car in the driveway, growing one's own vegetables, and learning to be self-sufficient). And note that the standard of living deeply affects how people choose to live. Americans and Europeans and some Asians tend to be highly alarmed over a vague threat like global warming, because they have the time and energy to worry about it. People in Third-World countries are worried about the day and not dying.
Whether or not you are Christian or believe in God or any of that, there is a very good verse in the Bible that says "don't worry about tomorrow! Tomorrow will take care of itself". Good advice, I think.
Now that I'm off my soapbox, look around you. Living in a sensible, healthy way will ensure that your impact on the Earth and its hot/cold phases isn't your fault.

Their is no solution for global warming because it is not man made. Humans have no control at all. Global warming is caused by the sun which goes in cycles and this is just a natural cycle. Also, other planets in our solar system are warming as well.

There is a ton of info online - a good site to try is fightglobalwarming.com - produced by Environmental Defense, a well-respected organization that fights for practical solutions to environmental problems. The site has a good list of steps individuals can take to help fight climate change.

You can just be a responsible citizen and realize that whatever you do will have a nil effect on the earth's climate as a whole, but keeping your area clean is always a good thing to do.

I use energy efficient light bulbs and an electric lawn mower. I heard that electric mowers were 80% cleaner than gas mowers.

I'm trying to do my part by encouraging everyone to have at least one live plant in each room, especially if it's air conditioned. If you want to know the best plants? Please use NASA's Clean Air Plant Study as a guide. It can be found at: http://www.zone10.com/tech/NASA/Fyh.htm.
